The Nagpur division of Central Railway has started online booking facility for retiring rooms for 20 stations from Nagpur railway station. Central Railway PRO PD Patil said the booking can be done at reception counter in the city.

The facility will be available for retiring rooms at CSTM, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shimla, Delhi, Amritsar, Jammu, Varanasi, Lucknow, Howrah, Chennai, Madurai, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Kota, Ahmedabad, Mumbai Central, Bandra, and Baroda.

Passengers can now make online bookings for retiring rooms at 18 major railway stations in the country including Ahmedabad.

The booking for the rooms can be made 90 days in advance. Booking facility would be round the clock.

As a part of its drive to improve amenities for commuters, the Indian Railways has launched an online booking facility for retiring rooms.
It is also available at Madurai and Rameswaram railway stations.
You book your accommodation in retiring rooms when you apply for your journey ticket.
The system also enables you to know the vacancy position of retiring rooms at various locations where the online booking system is available.
This facility is being initially offered at 18 stations and would soon be extended to Chennai Egmore.
According to a press release, the online booking system was developed in association with the Centre for Railway Information System.

Nagpur, October 23, 2010: The Central Railways (CR) will run a special train between Mumbai and Nagpur to clear extra rush of passengers during Diwali next month. The train (No. 0109) will depart from Mumbai CST at 8.35 pm on November 4 and arrive at Nagpur at 11.05 am the next day, a release from CR’s Nagpur Division said here today.
