Your mileage may vary. However, you'll get a better deal with Impex.

@Kizito thanks for your comments. Connectivity is definitely an issue but that doesn't remove the benefits cloud computing and bring especially on an entreprise level. When my bank is doing reconciliations for the day, their electronic channels are usually unavailable for hours. If these tasks were outsourced to cloud computing platforms, that time can be reduced dramatically.

Tim Akinbo's Blog : Mobile Analytics is broken and how to fix it

@seyitaylor you're right about how the mobile web is somewhat divergent in terms of experiences for both users in the third world vs other advanced countries. This, in my opinion creates an opportunity for local software entrepreneurs to create solutions that work in this market.

Thanks @Bemmy for your comment. I wouldn\\\'t know if there are lots of ads in the media in the UK advertising ringtone downloads. That might give a good indicator as to how the business is fairing. It will be my pleasure to meet you someday.

Online Aspect : How business guys can identify good coders

I blogged about it here http://blog.timakinbo.com/2010/10/27/how-to-hire-.... I was recently invited to give a talk to students in my alma mater and I couldn't help not talking about how important it is to get past that initial inertia (or fear in most cases) and actually begin to produce content even if it's crappy.

Great post Josh. it's an expansion on the ideas I wrote on this topic. Is there a reason a programmer will not contribute to open source projects? I think the answer is yes. Being afraid of criticism might make a programmer not contribute openly because this leaves him open to criticism. In my short time of making open source contributions, I've learned a lot from other fellow contributors and seen a huge growth rate in my programming ability.

Tim Akinbo's Blog : Nigerian postcodes - a case for open data

Interesting comment Aniedi and thanks for the link to geopostcodes. I checked their data out but wasn\\\'t too impressed with their offering. Their geocoding is only accurate to the regional level which in my opinion isn\\\'t good enough for me to justify the investment but for the organization, that\\\'s great. I\\\'m thinking that we could use a service like Geonames (http://www.geonames.org/) to geocode a number of the locations in that database.

The problem with your code is that if a number is divisible by 15 it is also divisible by both 3 and 5, so you'll get outputs like: 1, 2, Fizz, 4, Buzz... 13, 14, Fizz Buzz FizzBuzz... which is actually incorrect. You need a way to stop the comparison after passing a test. That's the first issue. The second issue is explained in my follow up solution which will be published in a few days.

Tim Akinbo's Blog : Investigations on resumable file uploads

@digitalcraft until HTML5 and the File API, the only method I know that was used for \\\"resumable\\\" uploads was embedding a Java applet to provide the functionality. With the File API, you will be able to do uploads in chunks of bytes. This will come in handy in situations where there are policy restrictions on the maximum upload size. What would be most interesting would be using webworkers to handle the upload and allow the user to continue interacting with the application and possibly even use IndexedDB for resumable uploads even when the browser has been closed.

Tim Akinbo's Blog : HTML5 and why it matters

@Ifeanyi great comment. There are very little (and I can't recollect) reasons why Flash is good for the web or even on mobile. The first and most obvious is the fact that content produced in Flash is not indexable and wouldn't help promote a semantic web. Flash did have its use back in the days but browsers have gotten pretty advanced these days and are just as capable.
