This is actually one of the less shocking things that Cuccinelli has done. WaPo has called him "the most overtly partisan attorney general in Virginia’s history." More info, for those who are curious: http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/12/03/12595...

And he'll probably be our next governor, because Terry McAuliffe is eminently loathsome, and Cuccinelli will successfully pretend to be a centrist while campaigning, just like current Governor Bob McDonnell.

And thanks to him, the VA Board of Health will probably approve regulations this Friday that will effectively put out of business most of the 20 abortion clinics in the state (see my post below for more information).

Hey, if you think Cuccinelli is completely full of shit and want to make sure he'll never be governor of Virginia, you should join us at Cooch Watch (http://coochwatch.com/)! We're a grassroots organization of activists, mostly in Virginia, and mostly focused on women's rights (though we've been forced to expand, now that he's got delicious sodomy in his crosshairs!), who organize anti-Cuccinelli protests and events, and also have some pretty sweet music videos, one of which was even re-tweeted by ever-beloved Rachel Maddow. I'd also like to take this opportunity to plug the final Virginia Board of Health meeting, which is happening this Friday, April 12, in Henrico, VA. The Board will vote for the last time on the TRAP regulations that will likely close most of the 20 abortion clinics in the state. Cuccinelli has been instrumental in packing the Board with anti-choice ideologues, including an old OB/GYN dude who just so happens to be a member of the goddamn Virginia Physicians for Life, and even bullied the Board to reverse their decision to grandfather in existing clinics, which would have allowed them to continue to operate without making the exorbitantly expensive, TRAP-mandated changes to their facilities.
