Very interesting your monthly report... hope you will keep posting it. A general though: your blog has an alexa rank of 72,000 (very high), but that makes me wonder if we can relate how much a blog earn (or can earn) to the number of visitors. I hear of sites/blogs with far less visitors making far more (or perhaps they lie?) So I wonder if we can infer any kind of metric...
Problem is, I have a feeling that Amazon will be a big looser as well as more and more people will move to other affiliate networks or will stop promoting Amazon products! So, a lose-lose situation?
“The site pretty much runs itself,” says Frind. “Most of the time, I just sit on my ass and watch it.” Now this is really funny... but it does underline a very important point: KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid
When doing something - online or off line - let us keep focused on the result, keep it simple, and have the discipline to not deviate from our original vision!
Website magazine is a great mag, I read it regularly... remember:
1) free does not mean less useful
2) it's all about commitments, so better 2 or 3 mags and use them rather than 50 mags and read none of them!
It's all about rules and regulations... well just drive carefully because no rule does not mean no danger... and this can be used as an analogy in life as well, as suggested in the post...
Well, not so surprising after all... "old habits die hard" so I guess that change is very difficult by itself... the reason possibly being because it goes against our true nature pushing us out of our comfort zone...
Always affiliate marketing... certainly it is powerful, but is there out there anything new? Any new out-of-the box idea for making money online? Ideas that go beyond promoting info products but that are as much (or more) powerful? CPA is coming out pretty strong... any thought?
Question is: are ads on these social networks really effective? I tried ads on facebook (not yet on myspace) and the conversion was non-existent. Seems like people on social network simply disregard ads.... they are there (the people ) to connect not to be bothered.... while if we advertise on google people are in a different state of mind and so here we have the reason for very different conversions between google and social networks...
what is / are the top 10 free wordpress blog? And most importantly, is it useful or necessary to buy a professional them when you start, or is it enough a free theme? Do we get penalised for using free themes? Does Google likes that? Problem is some custom / professional themes are really expensive!
Like someone else said, I'm actually a bit confused.... why is this link injection a black hat? Why should be wrong to post to social networks, provide useful comments, and put your link, that may even be a useful link as well? So I guess I am missing something, or I'm just too young in this SEO business....
