It is especially hard I think to put down dogs or cats. When I had to put down my cat, it was the hardest decision I had ever made and I was a wreck but I stayed with him to the end and let him go with as much love as he had given me in the 9 years we were together. I can't even see the day I will have to part with my dogs I choose to live in the joy of now.

I totally agree, I can't imagine a hereafter without my animals. Riding my horses with my dogs running along beside me, Paradise :)

Good for you Jennifer! I love the season of Lent. For me, giving up something for Lent has always ended up being a good thing. Once in awhile whatever I gave up actually stayed given up or used considerably less. I'll keep you in prayer for your 40 days.

I didn't find it offensive at all. Actually quite clever imo. But there is a church in Lebanon with a sign out front that says 12 Angry Mennonites, Not at this Church.
Thats a bit more on the offensive side i think.

I definitely would want whoever could get the job done. My best friend is gay and is currently on his 2nd tour in Iraq. No one cares about his orientation and he is very dedicated to serving his country. I think people who are homophobic are just scared to accept that a world does exist beyond their borders. I don't believe in changing people so they will fit into your world. Who knows when that young doctor or good samaritin saves your life are you going to say sorry your gay i'd rather die?

Someone needs to lose their job whether or not something bad happens. This was incredibly stupid and irresponsible. You do not clear someone for an outing ever if they have an escape record. My GOD! So many people are at risk now including those that apprehend him.

yes there are a lot of organizations that can help and yes people often have to be willing to accept that help. this guy has probably gotten used to staying where he's at and it appears that his camper will need to be towed in order for him to move. i hated being homeless and i would never want to be in that situation again but i did notice some things when i was around others who were homeless, sometimes its not the drugs or alcohol thats the most addicting, its the freedom.

I think those who have been homeless are the only ones who honestly know what its like to live on the streets. I was forced into a situation and had to live in my car for 3 months and it was the most horrid and scariest time of my life. I was attacked while walking to a bathroom in a park. I stayed in a wal-mart parking lot and and cried myself to sleep a lot of nights. No one cares anymore if you are homeless, people look at you like you are so much less than. It really hurts to be treated that way. I have a roof over my head now and every day I am so thankful for it. Try it sometime, get in your car with only the clothes on your back and drive to a parking lot and live there for 3 days and see what its really like and maybe you would learn a lesson or two.
