Bob, MJ is sounding as an American should be sounding. If something does not look fair, an American should call it out and ask questions. Maybe it is a coincidence, but it sure looks fishy and our honor as Americans needs to be protected. Otherwise, we are lost as a nation.

Okay Turtler,

Let''s see if we can have a real discussion.

"Sadly, the CCP does not agree with you."

Did you see Obama bow to the Hu Jintao? Did you see him bow to the Emperor of Japan? The Saudi King? Was there an outcry from China?

Last week, Paulsen disclosed that the Russians ahd urged the Chinese to dump Fannie and Freddy Notes during the Olympics to screw the US over. The Chinese refused and didn't even make a big deal over it. In return, the US, just days after the release of this information slapped China in the face with this sale to taiwan. How does that work? Chinese perfidy?

What evidence do you have to support your statement that the CCP does not agree with ME?

We should feel ashamed in that we (as sensible says) have accumulated massive debt to the Chinese. Now we are blaming the creditor. Where is our self respect and responsibility?

"We actually insist that the CCP play FAIR and stop oppressing its people?"

Who is the WE that you are referring to? Do YOU speak for everyone?

Who defines FAIR? YOU?

Whe defines OPPRESSING? YOU?

I hear one sided propaganda written by people motivated to make a name for themselves by saying anything that sells. Some may be well intentioned, but I have personal dealings with UN people and even an executive level HRW person. They are untrustworthy liars in their personal life and I have no doubt that they will say anything for personal gain. I am not willing to trust them as a source of information when the stakes are high.

This woman who wrote this article is fresh out of law school... why on earth would you believe her? She bases her article on hearsay and bigotry. She has no actual life experience. Yet she is stoking up hatred.
I watched an interview last year with Hu Jintao where the reporter congratulated Hu Jintao for China's success. Hu Jintao responded by saying that there should be no congratulations until the 800 Million Chinese that live in the rural poor areas are also brought up to a higher level of living. I thought that was a pretty cool response. Kind of like gracefully turning down a Nobel Prize for doing nothing!

America should not bow to China and I believe China does not want us to bow to them. We should feel ashamed. However, we prefer to act shamelessly.

>Jhawke,

Why will we be at war with China? What is the rationale? I note that you said it is a complex and intertwine collision course, but in your opinion it is inevitable?

"We have nothing to blame ourselves for. I don't think anyone could prove that we acted badly," Widmer-Schlumpf said in the interview.

PROVE? When are people going to stop using weasel words?

Assuming that it is in the best interest of America to be safe and to promote peace and freedom etc., shouldn't we try to reciprocate when a party does something nice for us? http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchiv... The Chinese could have piled on. They didn't. One could argue that it was in their interest not to screw us over. But the fact is, they did not. And here we are spitting on them in response to their restraint and courtesy.

I read some of these posts where some posters are calling them shovel faces and making a bunch of excuses for our inability to work toward peace. They simply protest. Yet some of us are talking about nuking them in some rationale that these shovel faces aren't as pretty as we are, they don't have as much money as we have, most of their nukes wouldn't make it over here and our would destroy them all. Listen to us! Is this who we are? All they did was protest. Should they have thanked us instead?
