Not necessarily. I have gotten higher than what Apple says many times. I don't think they really do.

Check the apple website. They have the stats there. It will differ for everyone depending on what they have installed, what model, how old the phone is...

Okay, I still don't think Apple would do that though. If they really wanted to stop jailbreaking they could put more effort into it then making us update because of a battery bug. The holes will probably still be there. Its just more of a pain then an actual fix if is their actual plan.

Okay, I just was wondering. I don't see why it couldn't be on all iPhones, anyone have an answer to that? Or is the answer that Apple wants you to upgrade to iPhone 3GS?

Ya, did you actually read all of his post. He told you what he did to fix his problem. If you are having the problem with Cydia not updating then read what he said... "Then after reading post in here several people suggested only installing Cydia which I did and this time it updated fine. I’m now thankfully on a “Jailbroken” phone which seems to work great!"

Ya my battery doesnt seem to be too bad right now, its harder to tell though as I have had my iPod Touch 1st Gen a long time. Do we know that the problem of the battery is caused by the 3.0 software, the jailbreak or the ultrasn0w?

Umm, the first time I restored to 3.0 I had a similar problem to yours. I would suggest telling itunes to sync no music so it is removed, and then sync the music back. If that doesn't work, which it didn't for me, I would restore, it sucks but at least it should fix the problem. Others let me know if I am wrong on this.

The fact that your phone does not charge when it gets too hot, has nothing to do with ultrasn0w. That is a problem with the hardware. I would suggest trying a different power cord first. As for slow backups, I havent had that for a long time. How long is "slow" for you?
