I posted this on Stand up and Lead, thought I would post it here too. I'm all for the individual states getting some sort of organization on this site, it seems that it has now moved over to Yahoo groups. I believe that a national event like a march on washington was the way to get the politician's attention. It seems that there are too many groups trying to do this; one is scheduled for July 4 along with a tea party and one is scheduled for September 12. My concern is this: if we have multiple demonstrations that are small to moderate, will it get the media's or politician's attention or if we have one large event will it get better attention. Maybe the yahoo group for individual states will be the answer or I'm afraid we are just getting lost in all these smaller groups that are popping up. If we are to succeed we need to be organized throughout the country. How do you think Obama won? It was organization! My opinion. Let me know a better way or if I am missing something. Thanks.
Why can't we get organized enough to have one big event? Sorry, but I am not going to show up in Washington on July 4 and see only a hundred or so people there. It's not worth it. The one is September seems to be larger. There are many intelligent people out there, what do we need to do? A little confused here. Did he roll call, went to yahoo groups, waiting on them to approve me. Also, seems to me there are toooo many little groups trying to get things going. I talked about a march on WAshington. Found that people are trying to get that going on liberty something. Went to that website and they are doing it July 4. But, they also said resistnet.org is working with them but they are doing a march on Washington SEptember 12. My concern is this. If we do not do one BIG event, all these small events won't even catch the media attention; therefore the politician's attention. The politicians only listen if they think it will make them look bad. So I would like to know why we are not planning one big event. .

I agree, it needs to be divided up with each state as well as a national forum. It will be much easier to find members in your state and get things going within the states.
I mentioned this March on WAshington in March... Haven't heard much from anybody. If we are going to get our Government back, it's all nice to email on this site but we need and start DOING SOMETHING!!! Let's do it.......
This would not be a soft little protest, if all of us gather in Washington one day this summer, there would be thousands of us. I don't call that little. We could try to get some big names to come and speak, etc. I'm looking for help, ideas to get this organized. We must do something BIG to get Washington's attention.
You are mistaken, this volunteerism is not going to be volunteer as we know it, it is going to be mandatory to volunteer, does any of this sound familiar, they are already trying to find the uniforms that these volunteers are going to wear...................

There are in reality term limits for congress, it is called voting them out!!! But it doesn't seem anybody wants them out................It all comes down to money, if you have it you will be voted in. You will never get your idea of term limits through congress...... We must think outside the box. I call for a March on Washington, that right now is the only way we will get through to Congress.....
