Great points! I am routinely surprised to see the reluctance amongst teachers, school IT and principals to adopt anything new when it comes to technology. They see it as something to fear and as extra work for them. These points are somewhat true, but the benefits far outweigh the costs.

That's not been proven and is only speculation as far as I know. Furthermore he is one of the brightest guys around. The mistakes he made are not due to Autism or Asbergers, they are due to poor preparation and public speaking skills! He has social dysfunction, that doesn't mean he can't give a good presentation if he worked on it.

Sounds rough. Have you mentioned this to him in a frank and open way? He may not realize what he's doing is disruptive. If you have mentioned this to him and he still hasn't changed I would say the next stop is to discuss it with the senior manager. Explain it in terms of number of hours wasted not just by him but by everyone in contact with him. The dollar loss in productivity should be motivation for your boss to make a change.

I'm sick of FB changes. I think all these changes will eventually open the door for some competition (eventually).
Anyways Zuckerburg is all about controlling what you see and what others see. I don't like it.

No I didn't touch on it Jaimie, but it's a good point. I think they are working towards getting accreditation. In the meantime I think it's way for people in developing (and developed) countries who can't afford university to get some practical skills.
I suppose if you're applying to Google or Goldman Sachs they may raise some questions about the degree, but if you're looking to get a regular job it may help you versus someone who has only a high school diploma.
