I hate how the detractors are trying to paint the Tea Parties yesterday as just about Taxes. Just my 2 cents, but I think we could get a lot more folks buying in if we start hitting on the lack of prosecution of the robber barons (in finance, government, etc.) that caused this finanical collapse. This theme hit home at a small Tea Party, here are the excerpts from a blog that I frequently read:

Nowhere did I say, nor did Governor Perry say, that we want out of the union.

Get a clue. Are you brain dead? Do you understand that point that is actually trying to be made?

Let me spell it out for you because you appear to be a little slow.

It is affirming STATES rights, and it is attempting to remind those in Washington DC that their powers should be limited to the CONSTITUTION.

Obviously you have no problem with the horse crap, that started under the Bush administration, with TARP, TALF and all the other alphabet soup that has led to unsustainable debt, apillaging of the taxpayer, removal of corporate CEOs, and command over our banks. NONE OF THESE acts were justified within the CONSTITUTION, nor was oversight provided by the representatives of the people (Reps and Senators).

Treasury and Fed More Power...No Way!!! What about trying to buy our own debt by entering into the Bond market to buy the long end of the yeild curve? Well they started to try and do that today and the results are not so good.

Not Inflation or Hyper inflation. How about deflationary depression? The Fed and Treasury can print as much money as the want, but if no one will take the credit to buy a house, car or major purchase then it is not coming into the system.

These guys called the peak of the market in October 2007 and the first part of the meltdown in the fall of 2008. I for one am listening to them now. Only wish I had been following them a year and a half ago.

Educate yourself and be open to both possibilities. Then prepare as best you can.

Scary stuff yesterday with the FED stating that they were going to buy $300 Billion on the long end of the yield curve, a first step that could start a nasty domino effect. I hope all you 912'ers out there are already preparing for the worst case scenario as we fight that outcome from happening through this site and other activities (e.g. calling and writing our elected officials to WAKE UP!).

I for one would rather be safe than sorry and have been getting what money I have as safe as possible while acquiring guns and ammunition all done in order to protect my family.

I really hope we can keep the bus from going off the cliff.

The Jokers at the FED and Quantitative Easing - not sure if anyone noticed in the FED's announcement today that they are planning on buying some $300 Billion in long term debt. Now that they have lowered interest rates to ZERO they have no other traditional bullets in their gun to prevent deflation. So in an all out attempt to re-inflate the economy and combat deflation they are signaling that they will try this step. I don't believe it will work, and I base this on the following blog post from Karl Denninger on this topic and how the Bank of England (BOE) put this approach to the test today:

Karl's blog is a fountain of capital market information. It is not for the faint of heart, he writes passionately about his beliefs, what he thinks needs to happen to correct the situation, and what is going to happen to our country, our government and our way of life if the idiot brigade in D.C. does not wake up really fast.

If you think Karl is just some flash in the pan take a look at his 2008 predictions, they were spot on. Unfortunately his 2009 predictions are much more grim and so far are shaping up to become reality because those in power in D.C. will do anything and everything they can to remain in that position. Karl also recently won the AIM award for accuracy in media, and it was presented to him earlier this month.

This implosion will happen unless the American People wake up really fast. I have hope that Glenn's efforts with this web site will help in getting the word out and in return applying pressure to our so called leaders.
