Notice how they blurred the face. I think this guy was one of the illegals that my manager hired. They came and did my apartment complex's landscaping Saturday (honestly - same shirt and all). I could be wrong though, but I swear I just saw this guy. The guys are good, but most of them need papers, if you ask me. Either way, I hope the guy recoups well. What a horrible injury!

As a Bremerton resident - it has been LONG known to all of us natives TO STAY OUT OF THE WATER here because this is a REGULAR occurrence! Go to Lion's field. Raw sewage spilling out from open pipes EVERYWHERE. It's disgusting! Needless to say, we do NOT go to the "beaches" here. Wouldn't even if you paid me a million bucks!

And might I add...WHO THE HECK PUTS A SEWAGE MANHOLE ON A BEACH when this manhole is covered in OPEN WATER every time the tide comes in!? Did they hire a PRESCHOOLER to plan this junk!? (Wait...that would be an insult to the preschooler...sorry. They're more educated than the city planners here!)

I have an 11 year old daughter myself (and having raised another prior), and let me tell you, there is NO way that an 11 year old GIRL would just up and run like that - UNLESS there is something seriously bad happening to her at home. I know, because in raising a VERY troubled and mentally ill wildchild (my dad's other daughter was raised by myself and my husband from 10 on up), we've been through some MAJOR counseling and behavioral training on what to look for and WHY these things happen. Taking off at 11 years old is NOT normal - not even for one who has mental health issues!

CPS needs to do an investigation ASAP, in my opinion! Seems to me that she was running from SOMETHING - now it needs to be found out WHAT she was running from!

Tell that to one of the children who WITNESSED it happen. The boy is terrified and horribly upset! AND HE TOLD HIS GRANDMA that it was point blank and intentional, as well as several of the OTHER children who witnessed it - so I suggest you speak with these other children.

I also spoke with another parent today who's daughter is in that class and sits very close, and he got the same story from HIS daughter.

Loving, caring and sensitive my A$$! At 9, he knows using a gun is WRONG, and DEADLY. Pretty "loving and caring" to shoot a little girl (unintentional or not) in the stomach and traumatize his classmates, right?

I haven't had a look at the newstribune yet, but a family member of mine knows the adult (relative) caregiver of the witness very well, and was informed of this by that adult not too long after this happened. This is how I have gotten the info. The little boy who witnessed all of this is very shaken up and upset, and came home and told what happened (after recounting to the police, of course). He was questioned at length on the issue, as he witnessed it all from the beginning to end.

Apparently the boy with the gun was a very emotionally unstable boy with a lot of problems, and has a habit of getting into trouble from what I was told. He was recently transferred from another school (not sure if it was due to him getting into trouble, or some other reason), and he was not at all happy that he had no friends in the new school. I am not sure what prompted him to shoot this particular girl, but it leaves me wondering how the ammo got into the gun if it was a supposed "accident," as the police wish to lable this. People who own guns just don't tend to leave ammo in their weapons like that. And where the heck were the PARENTS to not notice a deadly weapon missing from their home, or to leave it where the boy could have gotten to it!?

If I didn't know the Child "Protective" Services' incompetence around here, I'd say that they need to do some SERIOUS home investigation on this household. Chances are that they won't though. CPS in Kitsap County is a JOKE and can't follow through on anything for the life of them.

Either way, I hope Amina makes a speedy and safe recovery. Poor girl didn't deserve ANY of this!
