I simply do NOT understand why on earth a killer who has been tried and found guilty without a doubt should be granted ANY thing!
He sure didn't give his victims an extension of anything!
It may just end up being till 20008 the way things go, before he does 'get' it!

To Mr. Cross. I am so very saddened by the death of your son! I KNOW what it is like! My son was shot many years ago at 19 years of age. Senseless also.
You WILL come back to life but it will take time. Please let the dead rest in peace and do NOT put yourself on a guilt trip of any sort, I beg you! Your son would not want that and it does no good! Work toward peace and justice, in any way you can!!

I too am a liberal and would give nothing more than to watch this POS fry!! I do NOT appreciate it when judges give out light sentences, but they must follow the laws! If they need changing, it is up to US to see to it and I know of many liberals who would be more than willing to vote for that!!
So quit trying to pick on libs because WE have kids, WE hate injustice and WE don't like people ranting retorically either! Mary in Everett

I am forced to agree with you kockatoo, that the dogs being on the loose was probably the instigating factor here. Unfortunate of course, but even if there were leash laws in affect, or the owners had taken precautions to see that their dogs were under control they still get loose somehow!!
I think I would have had a tendency to panic a little also if loose dogs were charging me!

None of us were in the position to see or know what happened here. It was an unfortunate circumstance and I would not want to be the one who was pushing the chair and have to act on a second's instinct. Please, do not be harsh or rush to blame either caregiver or the dogs here. A chain of events took place, probably one at a time not bad, but strung together, it ended sadly.
I have sympathy for the caregiver, the dog's owner, the owner's of the adult care home and especialy, the victim's family. A very unfortunate situation all around.
