I had Lasik Surgery early in 2002 and it was one of the best things the I did for my skiing. I Barefoot and Slalom. I have never once worried about my eyes after the surgery. I can't image that face planting with contacts in is any better. I face planted once in the slalom course with hard contacts, I never wore contacts while skiing after that.
