I am sorry but I can not trust people of his culture.... they have no respect for law and order ... to many of them causing issues..even the ones born and raised in the US. This man has a problem per the article.

Not a racist just someone stating facts. Watched a Dateline Special on such a deal just last week... Father was forgeign Mother was American, they had two children both girls... he ended up taking the teenage girls to his home country and killing them because they were dating non-muslim men. Didn't get arrested for the crime nothing happened to him... hence I say don't marry them, don't have children with them and better yet don't let them into the US

What is it going to take for the justice system in Cedar Rapids to wake up and get this type of TRASH off the streets for good. I thought there was a 3 strikes your out rule... this guy has been arrested 48 times now since 1999 that is around 4 times a year he has been arrested to present.
When is the law going to be the LAW again. People can't feel safe any where any more.
I really do think that Iowa should bring back the death penalty then maybe lessons will be learned as the punishment will fit the crime. Hope this guy gets what is coming to him.... and in the meantime he can become someone's "girlfriend" in prison.
It is nice to see that the clerk used his head and took matters into his own hands. We all know that if he had not shot them they would have shot him. Now at least we don't have to pay for court costs, lawyer fees(they would have had court appointed lawyers for which we pay for), food and clothing etc etc etc. All that has to be paid for will be paid for by the families that will have to bury them because of their stupidity. Justice prevailed in this story, KUDOS to the Clerk
Don't construction crews have to do what a homeowner has to do before digging??? Find all gas lines and such.. seems like alot of construction crew mis-haps in the news lately for hitting gas lines .
I am a bone marrow donor and I hope that they find a match for this young man. I am going to encourage my co-workers to sign up with the U of I program. Maybe just Maybe one day a life will be saved because of it. My heart and prayers go out to Reid and his family. Don't give up hope. People sign up to help others... you never know when you may be called upon to help another person... pay forward.
I belong to the Iowa Bone Marrow program at the U of I.. I would like to know that some day it will save someone's life
