Dear Cardinal Mahony,
As a practicing Catholic the Church frankly does not have much high ground at this time. Considering the millions of dollars that have been paid out to cover for perverts, that money could have maybe been used to help the immigrants (illegal) who you are talking about. Look what happened when thsi happened in Boston, Cardinal Law was hidden out in the Vatican.
The people are being taxed out of their minds. Should we tax all church of all denominations for their property???
What is your answer. There a great many Catholics who see the Church taking the "high ground" on this issue, and then not standing up on this most serious issue that has engulfed the church in centuries.
Do not demeen us, like the other stupid liberals who throw around terms like "Nazi of Gestapo or Communists" that is a terrible thing to say about good people who are trying to take on an issue that has threatened to take over our country.

I hope the Blue Dog's hold firm. Forcing a floor vote by the likes of that Chicago street thug Emanual and the San Fran idiot Pelosi will force them to vote against this horrible legislation on the floor.
Most of them are smart enough to see that the voters in their districts do not want this piece of crap to pass. Most of them are from districts that voted McCain. If they hold firm, then maybe we all stand a chance of real bipartisanship. Hold firm Blue Dogs and Republicans.

The idiots that run the governments are stealing your money to support ridiculous programs. They always seem to have the money for touchy feely programs and programs of no real import. They always seem to cut the services that are most necessary. These superflous programs are the ones that the liberals always seem to feelwe can't get along without.

I see a lot of great comments that make absolute sense. Comm Reinvestment Act, Kennedy economics, lower tax rates.
How about a sense that the government can't do everything for everybody.
This guy has never had a job that had to make a payroll and has never created a job. Please "Community Activists" or "I am giving back to people."
What a large load of BS. I sense that quite a large number of people are now feeling that we are definitely not on the right track. Remember this come next year's election are help to restore some balance to the structure of governance.
