Wow, just saw this. Rest In Peace, Andrew. My prayers go out to his family and friends, that they may find comfort in the midst of such a terrible event.

Thanks Nick! I blame my parents :D

I understand those in the media's spotlight doing that, it makes sense. But I would think that everyday people, such as my classmate, actually believe it, seeing as they have heard it so much..
And there really isn't any logical way to counter it that could get your own point across

Hmm.. this resonates with something that happened to me back in high school, when I was reading a paper I wrote aloud to my class about the problems of Obama's socialist worldview and who he was connected with (Ayers, Soros etc.) and how bad things would happen if he was elected. I used the phrase 'dark fog covering America' ; the dark fog part was in a book I had just read and symbolized evil. I simply liked the imagery of a dark fog. I got called a racist by a black kid in my class, and hypocritical because I had mentioned the blatant racism of Al Sharpton and Jeremiah Wright. Later, though, my teacher and other classmates told me that they had thought nothing of the phrase.

Anyway, I just don't understand why these people are so freaking sensitive about race and imagined attacks. Not to mention putting spin on words. Obvioiusly they are trying to discredit Perry and others, but it really makes me want to put some sense in their heads

Also, throughout the books are several different verses from the Bible, 'where your treasure is, there your heart will be also' and 'the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death'. Or Dumbledore saying that there are things worse than death. Not to mention themes of redemption and forgiveness. I also don't know what Rowling's intentions were, but I am thankful for the outcome!

The series has so many fans worldwide, and I doubt most of them have taken the time to really look closely at what the story's themes tell us (the stuff mentioned in your article), which could show that people inherently/subconsiously see that the conservative principles work and that we should strive for them.
Great article, and thank you. Just more reasons for me to enjoy the series.

Oh this movie brings back fond memories! My father would always put his coat up to his face and pretend to be Dracula and 'hypnotize' me by waving his hand in front... Good times

There is so much trash out there about our so-called destructive practices by these environmentalists, that I don't know what is even truth about the earth. Sure, taking care of our resources is a good thing, but where does one draw the line? That video does show the underlying true colors of this movement, and it is creepy.
If anyone knows anywhere where I can find facts against the lies being put out there, that would be helpful.

Moore actually said: “I am opposed to the building of the ‘mosque’ two blocks from Ground Zero. I want it built on Ground Zero.”

I have no way to say what I am thinking when I read this.... Despicable.
