This performance at this time, against this team - was not needed. Watched Wolves v. Man U - Created chances and defended superbly & won the game. Why should we not have expected a win? The match against Blackpool was impressive (measured against our previous performances) - we shoud have won today - maybe not easily - but should have won! Another week @ the bottom - Aggggggggggh!

This article is on the Daily Mirror web site:
Why the only people deserving of sympathy from sorry West Ham farce are the ever-suffering fans

Was a very good read. I think summed up a lot of the mood from this site.

Nice to finally here a supportive message. Could not have said it any clearer then you. We should all get behind the team and the manager now - and move onward and upwards! The fight begins now to get to Wembley and out of the relegation scrap.

Watched the entire game here in the states. Very poor performance! The question is what other players were to be played other than what Avram had to choose from, today! Ok, so they get rid of Avram - is another manager going to pick another 11 to start - NO! Are they going to be played in better positions as others state - NO! It is not the manager, dare I say not the owners - it is the players! So let us get another manager - it is still going to be the same players! And that is what is truly sad. These players were never going to beat Arsenal! I love West Ham United! And always will.

How does the Guardian know this - 3 hrs before the match?

Direct quote from Mr. Grant:
"I think we have a good chance to stay in the league, and that we have a good chance of following our vision for the club, being a very good club next year.

Next year? Horrible, Horrible, Horrible - same words week in and week out, no fight, no idea, no nothing. I believe he thinks that he was watching another team play then the rest of us.

From an article on footy latest: Having watched the entire match here in the states. The team had no fight (except for 1 or 2 of the players):
Deluded West Ham manager spins it like a politician

Poor Avram Grant is facing the sack if the bookies are anything to go by and judging by the performance of West Ham yesterday the sooner the better for the long suffering Hammers fans.

West Ham were woeful yesterday as they have been all season apart from one or two performances but that did not stop sadly deluded Grant from spinning a yarn as good as anything a politician can do saying

“The team are progressing and getting more efficient.

“Unfortunately, it didn’t happen on Sunday, but we can take a lot from this game and move forward.”

Well Mr Grant if that is progression I would hate to see what happens if West Ham go backwards, West Ham are a poor team and have been for a while now, they are championship bound unless the owners get rid of Grant and bring in a manager that can get the best out of the players.

Grant was always a poor choice and that is proving to be the case and unless something dramatic happens the chances of Grant lasting the season at West Ham are negligible.

Living in Philadelphia - The Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) played last night and put in a fighting performance to beat the NY Giants. Here are some of the quotes from after the game. Vick said. "We knew we would have to deal with adversity. It's all about fighting and hanging in there when you have to." "This was a very important game to battle through when a team is coming after you," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "You have to fight and he did. That's really what we haven't seen, and he battled his tail off." I could only wish to hear words like this in relation to WH from the players & Manager.
