I honestly did not want to give away or explain everything about the book to people who are unfamiliar with it so I said "beings." If they were aliens I would have said as much, though. The picture I added to the article also clearly indicates that the beings are at least human in appearance to those who have never read the book.

I never criticized Akyroyd and never would. What I did do is make light of the notion of Akyroyd *as* Yogi Bear. And frankly anyone as Yogi Bear in a live-action/animated film is a horrific thought. I stand by my statement regarding Anna Faris; she's great when it comes to family comedies, voice acting, and physical comedy. There aren't many actresses these days that can let go of themselves like that and do a good job, so she'd be fun to watch in a movie like this.
