I have to call BS on that. There are plenty of young mothers who have LOST their perfectly good husbands. I would think that would be appreciated especially this memorial day weekend.

God bless our men and women in the military.

The North Korean government can't even launch a satellite into space while a private American company is hooking up to the International Space Station. That must make Kim Jong Un pretty mad.

To quote Spock, "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few (or the one)".

Yes. A tragedy that could have (and should have) been averted.

The same could be said of anyone who negligently left thier loaded gun in reach of a child who killed another child (or themselves) with it. The laws are still on the books. Enforce them or repeal them.

As I have gotten older, my ability to accept stupidity has diminished. Jalharard's comment was beyond ridiculous and called for a backhanded comment. It is very apparent that they do not understand the subject being discussed. I have always heard that it is better to be thought ignorant than to spout off and remove all doubt of your ignorance. I suggest that Jalharad apply that statement to thier lives.

Yes, that is different and that statement was added to the story AFTER my post which ended with "I will keep an open mind on this till more information is presented". My post was strictly on the "cage" aspect of the report and was posted to show that what may appear to be a "cage" may actually be a secure, defined play area.

This wasnt an argument. I made a post that he challenged and that was a rebuttal statement. It was not non-relevant. His post about the application of the law was designed to make it look like he had some knowledge of the law which I do not believe. I called him on it. As you can see, he made no response. Here's why:

His statement that "Technically he was not breaking the law by having his gun in the car" is correct. The problem is, that is not why he is being charged. He is being charged because he LEFT that gun in the car with 2 unattended minors, one of which, shot the other with it. That IS endangerment of a child (I would enter one dead child, shot to death by that gun as evidence). I dont care how HE sees it. "It is a decision that detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit who investigated the incident, agrees is supported by evidence," said Snohomish County Prosecutor Mark Roe in a written statement.
