I am quite familiar with the Otters, the King Airs, the 206, and the other occasional guest appearances. I have never found it objectionable. One can't logically object to airport noise having moved to the area with the understanding of what that means. As with what (in most instances) lies below your litle pad of dirt, you also do not own what lies above and above and around it. We are a nation of laws, not of what one believes should be. Is MHS breaking any laws? I tend to doubt it.

I would wager that the airport was there before you. And, yes the city not only allowed, but condoned cruising around certain parks in residential neighborhoods with loud, offensive music and pipes that carried on all day on Saturday and Sunday until late into the night.

Ah, the war on fun continues. AFAIK, the throttle is normally set around 90% for climb out, not 100. I am not sure what you are trying to imply with the emergency landing schtick, but it just makes a steep descent. Every minute the prop is turning is money burning, so to speak. I lived in Niwot for years, right under the flight path. Air traffic never bothered me. Perhaps, you should rethink buying near tracks and runways.

Exagerate much? The towering thingies are drilling rigs. They merely bore a l'il hole in the earth. Where on the Boulder/Weld county lines are these large scale refineries, you speak of? If property owner A has entered into a legal contract that facilitates the exploration, drilling, and production of petroleum products, how do the rights of property owner B legally trump this when not occurring on B's property?

I don't know the particulars of ownership in this case. However, generally individual A, or company B, may own the surface and or mineral rights or both. The production of the mineral rights is leased to company C. Company C, in turn, hires construction comany D to prepare the site, Company E to drill the site, company F to frack the site, Company G to complete the site. All of this has taken place after months or years of deteriminations of how much recoverable oil/gas is there and whether or not the possibility exists that the site will be profitable, negtiations of damages to the owner of the surface rights have been completed, permits have been approved, etc. Then, a broad range of things have to happen exactly as they are supposed to before the well is completed, normal operations commence and anyone makes money. Generally speaking, out on the plains, farmer Brown owns the surface and mineral rights, or his kids or grandkids sold the mineral rights at some point to pay the taxes, buy a new car, or send the kids to college. Buyer groups/speculators often canvass noteworthy areas and offer to purchase mineral rights.

The crux of the problem is that the Stutzys of the world think every perceived problem in life has a goobermint solution, one that mandates the property of one be seized and transferred to another in the name of social justice. Surely these self-professed minds of superior intellect and education can transcend the pit of progressivism and come up with solutions for the 21st century. Why, it seems as easy as creating an app that can search out people with similar needs in a small area and group them together with a schedule, so that when one is not doing yoga, making pottery, or applying patchouli, someone would be watching the rugrats in a safe, carbon neutral environment that espouses the good virtues of meatless Mondays and gluten-free living. One big happy family, er village taking care of the planet's future, and we don't have to pry a dime out of the hands of the evil Koch brothers. ..........everybody sing! Eldora is a great place, but it could be made much better with expansion of terrain and lift upgrades. There is also a huge need for facilities expansion. Ski school parents take up much of the available seating nearly all day with gear, laptops, and lunches with little or no respect to paying dining customers. It would be great to have separate places for "campers" and customers.

I thought beri and the looper/progressives had saved us. Why then, do the producers need to give more? The reality is that the author is on the wrong side. Get gubmint out of the way, reduce marginal income tax rates but get everyone in the pool, repeal bericare, remove idiotic regulations, and the economy will actually turn around. Jobs will return. The labor force participation rate will recover from depression era levels. Taking the stranglehold on "education" out of the hands of the feds/unions and giving parents the ability to choose through different types of schools and vouchers will solve the problems in "education."
