From all these posts, I'm guessing I didn't miss much. Please let me know, when BFS, overhauls the midfield, and installs some creative players.

I do. I have been on this site complaining about that fact. We have two slow Center mids patrolling right now. Just not good enough, certainly up in the Prem. This team has lacked that since Benyoun left.

Whats the point on putting him on at midfield if has pace, but still provides shocking crosses. Might as well put Bolt in, I heard he has some pace.

From what I saw from the stream, we were the better side. Cardiff just didn't have the energy. We were lucky, in that the woodwork saved us two goals. Yes, plenty of missed chances, Maynard had a few, but three vital points. Nolan's goal was clinical, right footed from left side of box. Right before, Linda's long and winded goal, I thought Faubert was playing left back with some of those crosses. All in all, massive win. Must press on the pedal and point out the rest of the season, if Pompey goes belly up.

West Ham Till I Die : The Return of Kevin Nolan

Im guessing at this point in the season, this team will have to grunt it out, with whatever lineup Big Sam sticks with. We all seem to have our set lineups with this roster. Im just at a point where I hope this is good enough to get up. My biggest concern will be next season. If this team goes up, The center of the midfield will need to be up graded to stay up. Just not enough creativity to get us goals

No Roy, I don't think Mark is a starter in the Prem. He has had a fine season at this level. The biggest flaw I see in him his is turnovers. I re watched the match this morning, and he had a go at two defenders, only to lose the ball. As a coach, I was scratching my head as to why he was taking a throw in. Did he swap places? He seems to be out of position too much, which hurts the team. It's really easy to counter attack our side with that type of play. As for his passing, at times it's really good, others, not so good. A perfect example, set pieces. WH had 10 corners yesterday, not one dangerous. Too be fair, Collison had a few. As for holding mid? Scott Parker is no speed demon, but he makes it up with some really good foot work. Noble isn't the only area I would be concerned for nexr season, Faubert and Nolan.

Yeah, with Jack, it takes a good 18 months to get back from that type of injury. He was playing at a high level until his dad died. That and his injury, he is a different player.

Noble is more suited as holding mid. Without any pace, it's hard for him to carve up a defense. This team will need to upgrade next season if it wants to stay up.
