This is bizarre and troubling. Hate speech directed against atheists is so pervasive that it does not even attract media attention. Why atheists are not recognized as a persecuted minority in our society is beyond me. We are associated (in the absence of any evidence or justification) with all forms of social problems (perceived or real). Why secularists or atheists have anything to do with the devaluing of human life is not even treated by the arch bishop. He merely makes the association without any substantiation as though it is a truism. This is evidence of just how deeply entrenched this form of bigotry is.

Chris, thanks for articulating in the simplist of terms why this guy's argument is so profoundly ill thought out and just plain stupid.
