I wish the people would stop complaining about the price of gas. Especially the ones driving their full size V8 gas guzzlers. It is up to you the individual to do something about the price of gas, and complaining doesn't do any good except maybe make you feel better.
Bad idea. The reason for the dress code was to make ALL students appear equal. Rewarding the students who get A's and B's would be discrimating against the lower grade earners. It would be really discrimating against kids with learning disabilities.
This is very sad. What will be sadder is if the DHS charges her with child neclect. They will say a mother should know where her child is all the time and shouldn't have been out of the mothers sight while she backed the car out of the garage.
Quit showing that 40% of the LOST would go for street repairs. The ballot wording is street "improvements." That means the money could go for almost anykind of street work, not just repairs. I predict if the 20 year LOST is approved, that more than 50% of the street improvement money will go to "improve" the streets in downtown CR. After all, we have to make downtown look nice for all the convention business we are supposed to get.
Don't forget how much subsidies that airports get. Take them away and we would be paying twice what a ticket cost now.
For all those in favor of nuclear power, I hope they build it and store the spent fuel rods in your back yard.
Wilkins school is a part of the Linn Mar school district, not Cedar Rapids. The school is located in Marion.
This goes to show you, their are a lot of people who don't have a life.
I see more adults with their cell phone glued to their ears then teenagers. We adults sure know how to set the example for the young. When the teens turn 18, they can become as stupid as us adults.
Where will all those people park? That's right, gas will be so high people won't be driving. People won't be going to the concerts because there won't be any city buses running at night.
