An apology would be an answer as that would be an admission that they messed up and that they need to get on the ball.

It is no worse than Branson, by far. Ever been to a timeshare presentation? If you want to talk about morals, take a good look at the areas around you and you'll quickly see that there is no room to talk. In Branson, you can't go anywhere in town without an 'OPC' asking you where you are from. So, any tourist town you go to anywhere in the world is going to want your money... that is the way business works.

I second that! I find it humorous that so many on here feel the need to judge others... and even quote the bible at the same time. Doesn't it also state not to judge others lest ye be judged? What difference does it make what their lifestyle is anyway? If I like a painting then I'll buy it and I don't care if the person is gay, straight, or an alien for that matter. I respect art for what it is. How many of you listen to Elton John, Queen, Melissa Etheridge, etc? If the artist is homosexual, does that stop you from buying their CD? Are you afraid that you're going to 'catch' it? lol, come on people. If they are not doing anything to hurt anyone, then what is the big deal? If there is nothing there that interests you... fine, don't go back. If there is nothing there for your kids... fine, don't go back. But to blame it on lifestyle differences, well, that's just a bunch of cr*p. Get down from the pulpit.

I am a mom of a 9 year old also goes to Branson Elementary and I'm certainly glad that I have not had this experience... because if I did, I would demand an apology as well. The fact remains that the child had a concussion. We have heard it before that a hard enough hit on the head can have very unfortunate consequences (i.e. Natasha Richardson), and it is certainly not something to take lightly. What if he had no symptoms at all and, while going to be, never wake up the next morning. It has happened. Itsbadnews, shame on you for stating that it seems like the child is lying and I really hope that you do not babysit children. This parent should have been notified about her child's injury and she is completely in the right. Schools need to be more educated about the potential dangers of head injuries.

My heart goes out to Juanita. Watching the video clip was heartbreaking and, as a mother myself, I see that she has suffered the worst thing that anyone could ever experience... the loss of a child. At least she is finding some comfort in her faith in God. Bless her.

If it were that easy, Ron_Lee, to get a job or a better one, don't you think that the majority of people would do just that? Where have you been the past year? The economy is climbing an uphill battle and the job market is still trailing behind. It's getting better though, but you shouldn't be so judgemental towards others because you don't know their personal situation. If deals are available then it helps bring more business while the consumer saves some money. So, why not take advantage of those deals? After all, that's exactly what they are there for. BTW, practice what you preach about the true meaning of Christmas.

You know what? I wouldn't have said a thing until she stated what she did. I found it a bit insulting and I stated as much. I never disrespected the program or said one negative thing about it. As a matter of fact, I think it's a fantastic idea and I hope they bring in loads of candy. However, I don't take too kindly to someone making negative assumptions about what my/our children are (or are not) taught based on a couple of harmless sentences that I and a few others left on here. So, get it straight... she criticized us. Her statement implied that we have not taught our children how to share, which couldn't be further from the truth. That was a very pompous assumption of her to make. So, obviously that 'criticism' was what upset me... as I'm sure it would any parent. Too bad if you don't like it.

Actually, I think you missed the point. I don't think anyone on here mentioned anything about "taking" anything away and please don't assume that our children are not already taught the meaning and rewards of giving to others. Prior to your comment, no one had made any insensitive comments on here. So,get off your high horse.

KY3 : Springfield man advocates polyamory | KY3 News, Weather, Sports - Springfield, MO | Local News

I have every right to comment and state my opinion as you do. Who are you to state that I shouldn't 'make it any of my business'? After all, are you not making it yours by replying? If you don't like what I have to say, then why don't you take your own advice? I don't have to agree with you any more than you have to agree with me, so get beyond it. You bet I know that this lifestyle has been going on for thousands of years. You know what? Marrying children has also been going on for thousands of years in some cultures... but that doesn't make it right, now does it? Or do you think that it does because it makes the person 'happy'? Based on your logic anything goes. We could certainly take that idea of happiness a long way, couldn't we? It seems that you like to add things to people comments that they didn't even state. I never said that the world's problems would go away if people stopped having affairs... nor did I elude to such. Accepting and adapting to chaos just because it makes others happy is not going to improve the world either. So, if you don't mind, I'll stick to my guns anyway. It's better to stand for something than fall for anything. Accept the fact that people are going to disagree with you. Put on your big boy pants and deal with it.

Live and let live only goes so far, and there is a line. I believe that this scenario crosses that line and blatantly makes a mockery of marriage... and I'm not religious by any stretch. Polygamous 'relationships' are not moral or respectful to the other partner. There is no commitment as promised in a normal marriage because all that goes out the window the very moment another person enters the picture, and nothing is what it should be or what it was meant to be. How far are we willing to extend the line? What are our limitations? If we don't set the bar somewhere, then where are our standards? People, let's set an example for our kids by living our lives how we would want them to live theirs. What do you think of Utah (and elsewhere), where one man could have several wives and make children in amounts that could populate a small country. They have all the women they want and if one doesn't feel like being intimate, well, there's always another. You really think that is respectable? If this guy wants to sow his wild oats, then why not divorce and be single? Polygamy is a joke regardless of what country or culture... it is all hormones and nothing else. Simply put, if you want to be with different women then just DATE them and save marriage for when you are mature enough to have one... whoa, now there's a concept!

Hate to say it, but it's gone because it's just not appealing to most tourists and locals anymore. To further illustrate my point, people are still spending their money in Branson, just not there (among a few other places). As a Branson resident, I have always wondered why we don't have more diverse entertainment here. I swear, it's like most of the entertainment comes from an era where few are still living. It's old and now dead, so let's bury it. No offense to the older folk, but what about the rest of us? Maybe some of us like a little rock with our roll! All I'm saying is that we need to add a little more color into the mix. Diversify Branson and we will get variety and more profitable tourism.
