The afternoon pop was region-wide - Kospi/Nikkei/HSI/HSCEI etc - and was due to a news release about Dubai. Plenty of news about it on all the usual finance sites. i don't think da boyz were behind this one.

It is quite strange how the rally continues though. Will make for an even bigger fall once it come I guess.

The down-tick around 3:30 was region wide. The Nikkei had the biggest move. Kospi futures fell also, but not that hard. The 20 or so point fall in oz was relatively mild in comparison. I was also watching the GBP/JPY and it came off one full figure around that time also.

One other thing which you may/may not have noticed. With your new auto-generating posts, it looks like they are not creating a unique web address (eg this post is http://www.marketmentat.com/MarketRant/2009/06/us... and the ozrant one similarly generic). So you may run into an issue this afternoon if that ozrant overwrites yesterday's one at the address http://www.marketmentat.com/MarketRant/2009/06/oz...
