When the TV announcers talk about the OSU Linebackers needing to develop and mature and you see that they are seniors you know we are in trouble.

Jordan Bishop is an athlete, Halahuni a monster and even McCants has the body to lower the boom on opposing defenses. I definitely don't understand the play calling. Long attempted pass (with a very promising QB, but doesn't have the touch yet), Quizz up the middle twice without good run blocking and then a punt (possibly line drive). Three and out at key times is not good play calling.

Thanks for the great updates. I was wondering why Riley doesn't use McCants on offense. If he had a great spring and fall wouldn't it be nice to have a big back pound the defense a little? Seems like that would give a different look when Quizz comes back in.

Defense did some good things, but they need to be more consistent. Didn't look like the DE have put much pressure on the quarterback. BSU QB doesn't run, but he has a quick release--do the beavers feel like they can put pressure on him?

There is a lot of track & field fundraising going on through track & field alumni. First phase is done and they will begin work this spring I believe. Field will be next to the softball field. Dick Fosbury is the chairman of the fundraising. There will be a track & field alumni gathering at the Alumni Tailgater before first home game. They will have information I am sure. I like the attitude. Katz needs to realize that there are a lot of small plays to be made, not just "big plays."

Game was about what I expected. We were competitive, but did not play like winners. Look at Boise State--they talked like winners and showed it on the field. I didn't see the intensity on defense that I've seen from past beavers. We looked out of place and lost most of the night. Hopefully this team will improve. I think Katz will only get better. Coaches need to get the right people on the field. I expect us to win the next game. I predicted a win at BSU, but we need to step it up and play like we know we can win, or the Broncos will have a field day. They looked good against VT, but definitely vulnerable to big boy football.

Everyone saw the same thing over and over again. DE allowed TCU outside constantly and the LBs were out of position. What about having someone shadow Dalton--he killed us on runs all night.

Offense was ok. Katz did well for first start, but Riley needs to adjust. Throw in different running backs occassionally to shake things up. Throw more to Joe!

Time for Banker to retire.

Ok, ok, somebody woke up a bit grumpy. I'll stop wondering about the move. It's just that all the talk about him being an all world 5 star Tackle makes me not want to waste a year if he misses the first 2-4, whatever games.

I was just joking about the free breakfast bar. Having never seen the media room I don't know what the set up is.
