Maybe, maybe not. But man, isn't the ACLU awesome?!

How can you say you don't really want Romney, but will happily vote for Gingrich? Newt is Romney, McCain, and Dole. Were you alive in the 80's and 90s'? What makes you think Newt is any different now than he was then?

Seriously? That's your best argument? In case you haven't checked recently, that school is bankrupt, out of business, kaput. Oh, and you can thank the ACLU in part for that.

So the system actually works, and your point is completely invalid.

Yeah, that's kind of Stewart's point. He's a COMEDIAN.

It must just be you. At least the others who talk about the trash he spews have probably actually watched him, so they can make an informed decision. Isn't it rather difficult to form any sort of opinion about him if you've never actually watched him? Or do you let others determine how you feel about everything?

And it would be equally oppressive if the government were to move to promote just one group, say Christians, and not others, in an equal way.

Did you even read his/her reply? That's not what at all what was being said. What do you think "Freedom of the individual" means? Just because one person doesn't want another person's religious, political, or economic opinions imposed upon them does not mean that other person's views are being oppressed.

What is your definition of "almost the entire left"? Is that a specific percentage of those who identify as liberal? If so, what poll are you referring to in which they say that's their agenda? Did they actually post an agenda and meeting notes?

Let me respond point by point:

I have never been forced to buy the "Product" called health insurance. My health care is MY responsibilty, not yours. - That is my point exactly. Too many Americans are not taking the responsibility themselves. They either can't afford it, or don't think they need it, or don't think they'll ever get sick. And when they do, who pays? I do. You do. We all do.

The Enviroment today is teeming with birds & wild game that was almost NON-EXSISTANT in 1969 (I know I was here). - Did you ever consider that the reason the environment is now teeming with birds and game that were non-existent before 1969 is because of environmental regulation? Recall that the endangered species act was passed in 1973. And we can thank similar acts from that era for cleaner air and cleaner water.

If everyone is treated the same under the law there would be NO reason for "Special Treatment" I will refer to Aristotle for this one: - Good point. If only everyone were treated the same under the law. Yet something else we can thank government for. The Civil Rights Act, which forced cities, counties, and states to treated everyone the same under the law, something many of them refused to do on their own.

"The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal." Aristotle - What are the unequal things you think government is trying to make equal?

Government IS the problem, because petite tyrants use it to impose their will upon others.
“Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.” Thomas Jefferson - - You are correct, that is too often the case. Something people accuse Obama of doing from the left, and something people fear those like Santorum will do from the right. Neither is acceptable.

The collective mentality is slavery. Individual liberty is freedom. - I couldn't agree more. So why are so many Republicans clamoring for a President who wants to further reduce individual liberty?

I know, totally right?! Because trees suck up all those oil spills and acid rain!
