Totally agree, non profit should not receive government funding. ACORN hides behind statues for non profit organizations by refusing to open its books but continues to pull in Federal dollars. This is wrong on so many levels.
I'm sure that ACORN did help but the fact she ran as a democrat is probably the reason, people are waking up and not happy with what they see in their Government.
I agree that Hasan acted alone but this isn't the first time were soldiers have killed other soldiers because someone disagreed with foreign policy. During Desert Storm, a large number of african Americans were standing up questioning why they should go to war against muslims and that it wasn't right for us to expect them to shoot members of their own race. Guess they had no problems shooting everybody else. This is something we need to be concerned with, if a soldier voices these issues, that person needs to be pulled from their unit and kicked out. How many friendly fire incidents are we going to have to endure before we fix this problem. Its bad enough were having soldiers killed in their sleep by Afganistan troops, then to have to worry about our own.
Let me get this straight. We can't stop these illegals from getting in at the border and there being shipped into New England by the van full. So I ask, when is it going to stop? AZ and Texas has road side checks to pull vehicles over to find illegals, so whats the difference if you pull over a van full of Hispanics with an out of state license plate, there's a reason their traveling late at night, its called smuggling.
Are we saying that if these people are able to get pass the initial attempts to catch them, they should be given a free pass. The ACLU needs to do the American public a favor and start protecting Americans and work with us to secure the borders.
Great decision, of course its the second time she faces charges for DUI but the school union was successful at getting her job back the first time. Just the type of role model we need for our kids, please note she was arrested as she was driving to school/work.
You drop your weapon or suffer the consequences. We were not there and the police have a right to defend themselves. Sorry, if your confronted by a police officer, comply or this is what can happen. I would rather we judge by 12 then carried by six any day.
I don't care if the picket was informational or not, what the hell was the bus driver doing by dropping off these veterans off other than their intended stop. RIPTA is subsidized by the tax payers and provide a service, if the hospital was on fire, would the fire department refuse to cross because of the picket signs? Just another example of what the unions are doing for this state, no wonder were rated as the worse when it comes to business.
This should be no surprise to anyone. The state can't balance the budget and continues to raise taxes on companies who then close their doors and relocate else wheres causing the government to again raise taxes to make up for the loss. Its a mess and until the state can control the spending, its only going to get worse.
The Governor is going to be forced to sign off this bill under a provision in the law for emergencies. Gov. Patrick's is going to try the same thing that Sen. Reid intends to do with the Health bill and push this bill through against the people will This bill is wrong, the state government made the decision five years ago not to allow the Governor to select a replacement and allow for a special election so that the people have the decision which is the way it should be everywhere. Five years ago MA told the country that this was the correct thing to do, now since it affects their agenda, its suddenly wrong. We need change, and it needs to start at the local state level.
