Big Hollywood : The Power Pop Underground Deserves the Light of Day

Jellyfish are great. Almost every song on "Spilt" is great, but i'd have to rate "New Mistake" as my favorite follwed closely by Sabrina, Paste, and Plato. . "New Mistake" is like an a not-so-subtle tribute to "The Logical Song" by Supertramp...only better. BTW...don't forget their first album "Bellybutton" which I think is almost just as good as "Spilt". "Calling Sarah" anyone? "Bedspring Kiss" or "She Still Loves Him'? Great tracks. Uh...maybe it's even a better album. One of the greatest practically unknown bands in history.

Breitbart.com : Palin hits back at Obama, media after slip-up

He's heard of a pun, but what it is he really couldn't tell you. I didn't hear one person in the media point this out. It amazes me that people are so gullible as to like this guy and/or think he's so smart. He is the person everybody knows that always acts like he's the smartest guy in the room, and then after he leaves everybody goofs on him for being such a pseudo intellectual. That is Obama in a nutshell and I can't believe more people haven't caught on by now. It really makes me loose confidence in the human race that so many can't see him for what he is. I have to think that leaders around the world loathe this man, and think less of us for being naive enough to buy his bs.

I'm telling you if any Republican said something like that the media would be carping aboupt it for days. "This guy's so uneducated that he doesn't know what a pun is," is all you'd hear! And in some ways it would be justified. He proved that he doesn't know what a pun is. This so-called master of communication may know how to read big words, but he doesn't know what they all mean. That's embarrassing! It's inexcusable for a guy who's main strength is supposedly his oratory skills to not know what defines a pun, and very telling (if you ask me) to his actual intelligence. cont...

If Obama was covered even maginally fair he would be a laughingstock! His appearance, just recently, on 'Daily Show' was hysterical! All the media (conservative pundits as well) talked about was the "Dude" comment, but what was funnier was how he tried to make the "he's doing a heck of a job" quip sound like he was intentionally trying to be funny. He wasn't! Then he put that stupid "I'm so cool" smile on his face and said "Pun intended." First it wasn't intended and second...IT WASN'T A PUN you moron! cont...

McKay simply envisions a world secretly run by capitalists (which to him simply means white people) who in turn allocate large portions of the "magic" paper money to amorphous things called "businesses" (a business being a naturally occuring place where people run around pushing buttons). And like most evil whites/capitalists who have been "given" this large portion of the finite magic paper money they refuse to share it equitably with the button pushers. I mean seriously...why should a guy who sits in a chair, smokes cigars, laughs maniacally, and sexually harasses his secretary get any more than the button pushers? None of them are doing anthing anyway! If they were, then they'd have a movie to show for it!

I truly believe that a lot of lefties like McKay don't understand, or have thought very little, about the concept of wealth creation. In their heads, they imagine there's always been a big pile of paper money that exists and for some reason people give you stuff for it. With that being the case, they see CEO's, business owners, etc as guys who have just horded a huge percentage of the "pile". You see, they don't understand that the wealth (ie. paper money) didn't exist until they (CEO's, owners, etc) created or perfected a product or service. cont...

Big Hollywood : 'RedEye' Video: Breitbart Talks CPAC -- 'Confront the Bullies'

The fact is they'll shout and march all day as long as they KNOW the people they're marching against are civilized and won't do them any harm. On the other hand, try that shitck with a jihadist and you mind find yourself missing a head. With that being the case, they're tough as nails with us because they know nothing bad will happen to them. Simply put, many, if not most, true leftists have almost no character or courage because when the going gets scary and tough they are quick to abandon their supposed beliefs. With that being said, the theme of this article is very close to the mark. You have to get tough with these people that take advantage of our good natures. While thankfully we haven't gotten to violence yet, we still have to make these people belief that there will be some kind of price paid for getting in our faces and debasing our characters. My guess is that once these people know and belief this fact you'll find them falling back rather quickly. Ultimately they don't hold the courage of their convictions.

I've came to the conclusion quite a while ago that at the center of almost all true liberals (that is true ideological leftists...not people who just thinks it's "cool" to call themselves a liberal) is cowardice. How else can you explain the glaring contradictions in their actions vs. deeds. Liberals would have you believe they hold equality as practically sacred. Racial equality, gender equality, homosexual equality, ect. At the same time, however, they denounce Isreal and defend the Palestinians. They attempt to destroy Christianity, but defend and embrace Islam. How is this possible when both Isreal and Christianity are light years ahead of the Islamic world on issues liberals claim to champion? Pure and simple cowardice. cont...

Big Hollywood : Media Malpractice in the Extreme

Not hiring a person you dislike is fine for most endeavors. However, journalism is probably the most glaring exception where this can't be the case...that is if your primary purpose is a search for the truth. What happened here would be similar to a D.A. giving blanket immunity to a witness and then after the testimony saying "Well I didn't know you were gonna say you hated puppies and unicorns in your testimony. Screw that agreement...you're going to jail." And yes it is on that level because information was disclosed that may not have otherwise been. Information that Ziegler realized may cause him professional harm, but none the less was willing to disclose for the fact that he was gurannteed wide dissemination. Journalsim is truly dead if with it comes along the notion that whether I like you or not has a major influence on whether I distort the truth or outright don't report it.

Your juvenile comment couldn't have proved his point any better. In essence you're saying that you despise Ziegler so you can understand why they hung up on him and went back on their word. That's fine for polite conversation and all, but this had to do with no reporting something of journalistic value simply for the fact that you don't like the personality of a particular person. And like John said, this has not only become common place...it's practically the norm. How many stories are not reported or at least not reported accurately simply out of disdain for the subject? Again the major premise of the article was that journalism used to be about the truth. Whether or not the truth was coming from really likeable guy or a jerk should have NOTHING to with the search for the truth.

cjenk · 3 hours ago "Poor little Johnny Ziegler! I love hearing you cry about this stuff. I love this bit - 'When I simply tried to inquire as to the reasoning behind (or lack thereof) and the ramifications of such a decision, she abruptly and rudely hung up on me.' 'Simply' here no doubt means ' being a loud, rude and sanctimonious wanker' Has it ever occurred to you that you get treated this was because you're an arrogant, spiteful d*ckwad. You'll never realise that though, and thats why I love you." Boy you practically missed the entire premise of the article. The primary point he was making had to with personal anomosity and personal dislike of a particular person getting in the way of reporting. Whether or not you like Ziegler shouldn't affect whether you print a story you already promised you would. Like he said, one of the major reasons he wrote it had to do with the fact he was promised it would be run in Sunday's paper. That's why he's so pissed off.

Um are you implying that the Pope sodomizes little boys? Nice going there with that one. That says a lot about the thoughts that run through one's head. Here's why what you said is completely inane and a non-sequitor. Us wishing the Pope would smack Barry around has to do with the fact that he supports something that is so contrary to Christian values yet, at the same time, claims he is a devout Christian. Your comment, on the other hand, is tantamount to person convicted of murder yelling back at a white judge..."Oh yeah...well some white people once owned slaves!"

All this garbage about prosecting Bush now is just follwing the big lie to its logical conclusion. After all, they've been yelling about an "illigal war" for so long now that they'd look like if hypocrites if they didn't at least pretend they were going to do something about now. Now you get Obama who makes Bush's spending look like nothing, but somehow that's ok now. The sad thing is that it worked. A majority of Americans hate Bush and they don't even really know why. Iraq and Katrina are usually the ones a liberal will cite if pressed, and both those events were pure fabrication and propaganda as to how they were failures. Even the press will admit that all Bush really did wrong when it comes to Katrina was that he made a PR mistake by now immediately going to the cite. Yet somehow a "PR" mistake has been blown up to the point that most Americans think Bush somehow caused the hurricane.

Bingo AndrewPrice! I've come to the conclusion that most libs and especially the ones currently in power stand for very little. All this garbage they complained about Bush was just a means to get back into power. Obama is basically advocating a "surge" strategy in Afghanistan yet Obama was against that policy in Iraq when Bush was in charge. They stand for hardly anything. For some time now I've held the belief that had Gore been elected and we went to war in Iraq (which we most certainly would have) the Dems and media would be singing the praises of the great sucesses in Iraq. What's more instead of counting every dead American soldier as if they died for nothing we'd be hearing and reading about the amazing amount of dead terrorists as compared to our relatively low casualties. The Dems are so loathsome and lustful for power that they willfully undermined our foreign policy interests in order to seize power.

EVERY authoritarian country started off by seizing all the weapons. A government who knows its citizens are armed tends to be more cafeful about trampling on their freedoms. As to your "the government has helicopters" statement....well who flies the helicopters? I highly doubt most members of our volunteer military would obey a President who would seek to trample on its citizens Contitutional rights.
