"I was out in Colorado alone. I had no family out there. The only people I knew were fellow officers. I have not talked to one single friend since this happened. I can't begin to tell you what that's like."

How many Boulder cops actually have any roots in the community?

Christ will just never allow family to ride in the hearse again in that sort of situation. If you ever wonder why we have all these rules that makes no sense, look no further than this sort of ridiculous lawsuit.

Hey, maybe YOU can sell lighting crap all day, get drunk at happy hour, chase down black people in your Audi, and still look like a Spring rose for your mug shot, but that doesn't mean EVERYONE can, okay? :-)

According to its web site, NAMBLA advocates for the repeal of age-of-consent laws. The right to speak out against laws with which one disagrees goes to the very heart of the 1st Amendment.

However, if NAMBLA were to be found facilitating or covering up the actual molestation of children, its officers and anyone involved should go to prison (where they will be given a warm welcome from the prison population, I'm sure)

Sure, there's a lack of hypocrisy. NAMBLA also doesn't operate its own kindergartens.

Imagine any secular organization with extensive dealings with children behaving in the manner that the Catholic Church has behaved. Anyone involved in these cover ups and reassignments would go to prison for obstruction of justice and criminal conspiracy.

Well, I think you can support presumptions of innocence and also decry the systematic cover ups and child endangerment.

As for people trashing religion, people trash their political opponents. That's the nature of democratic system. If chuches don't like getting trashed, stay out of politics.
