Perfect, now in retrospect that I have Froyo with built in tethering and wifi hotspot, this point seems a little dated, BUT I know there's a lot of folks out there that still are not on 2.2 so I hope this helps and if it does, then great!

Larry,
Quite serious. You simultaneously miss and prove the exact point of this post beautifully. I shoot all kinds of things, I've shot some weddings in the past but I mainly shoot product right now and do quite well at it. If you want to get down to it, I've worked for large corps such as Viacom and Walt Disney so I assure you, I'm not new on the block. Nice touch putting down people who do shoot weddings or school photos though. I'm sure you've always been above those kinds of things. After all, how could an Apple fanatic sink soooo low?

Huh...was this loss of color a result of using a colorimeter? It could be any number of things such as:

-faulty colorimeter
-bad video cable from computer to monitor
-faulty video card
-incorrect/incompatible/corrupted display drivers
-some random windows bug

if you can be more specific about the problem, i may be able to help you troubleshoot it a little more.

It isn't platform dependent. It happens on all chipsets. The common factor is Windows. Keith Slagerman Photo & Design916-623-5414 P916-258-0182 Fwww.slagermanphoto.comSent via Blackberry by AT&T

Found something interesting interesting.. Just purchased a Sony VAIO laptop running Windows 7. Starting immediately having the LUT bug. Found a blog post and a commenter said that disablin igfxpers.exe from running on startup would solve the color management issue. I did that and voila. Problem fixed. So maybe this is a driver issue, and not so much a Windows issue. The jury is still out, but I'm doing OK on my setup for now.

Look here:

search on the page for "igfxpers.exe"

It would appear, that at least for me, that the official release of Windows 7 has solved the issue. I have installed it on four of my machines, all with different video cards and the profile holds just fine. Any one else having such luck?
