The American people ought to demand to vote on what changes we want in our healthcare. The congress and Presidentdoing this
themselves is very unfortunate. This is being hurried and done without any openess or transparency. We are not
letting our voices be heard and our congressmen/women will realize this in the 2010 elections. We do not want a single
payor govt run program. We already have two..Medicare and Medicaid. The poor and the elderly are taken care of.
We in the middle need choices, similar to choosing our auto coverage, as to how much, deductibles, copays and coverages
we need. Let us tailor our own plans as one size does not fit all.

There was a tv program showing how a mechanic would fix up clunkers and they were donated to single moms who needed them to get to work and take kids to weekend sports fields. Why not donate them
to them?

I would LOVE to see FLO the Progressive Insurance Agent advertise a medical insurance plan! I would love to choose my own premium, copays, deductible and options as to the coverage I want! I wouldn't take the maternity benefits as I am done having kids. I would choose the optical as I wear glasses. I would take the Healthy
American option to pay for my gym membership and discounts at health food stores, etc. Let the free
market work! It will be fun watching the 1300 Insurance companies in the country that offer medical insurance
vie for my premium!!

All the money for the stimulus should have been block granted to each state to let the Governor and legislatures
decide how they want to spend the $$. Every state in our union is capable of taking care of their constituents.
They are the people they have to answer to at the end of the day. The closer to home the $ is the better spent
it will be. I applaud Gov Sanford!! He was elected by his state and has their interests at the top of his list!
One size does not fit all in all 50 of these United States.

Let parents start paying public school tuition for their children to solve the school's
budget problems.
Seniors and singles shouldn't have to pay for other people's
childrens education... Just like I don't want to pay other people's mortgages that they
can't pay either!
