Welcome to the Frontpage : HDR and Exposure Fusion in PTGUI

What the Fusion layer does is bring your image back to reality a little bit. Heavy HDR (especially in Photomatix) tends to push the image into a very surreal state. By blending it with your Exposure fusion image you are able to bring it back to a more photo realistic state. The amount you choose to bring in of the HDR is dependent on the opacity of the layer. Its just a way to blend to technologies together.

Welcome to the Frontpage : Creating a perfect panorama with people and object movement

Magnus had a great added tip for this tutorial, He said "You might want to mention though, that you have to be careful with people showing up twice in a panorama and that you can get rid of unwanted people more easily, the more pictures you take and the more overlap you have between the single shots." So make sure to take multiple shots of the same stop so in the case you get one with no people in it you can use the same method to remove them. And don't forget the shadows when removing people/objects those shadows have got to go. -Terry

Yes the Nadir shot is an entirely different beast. Especially if you are trying it hand held. This is really the only tutorial I have seen that addresses the nadir shot properly. http://www.panoramas.dk/panorama/nadir/ However this takes quite a bit of time and practice to get right. For most of my shots I place my logo on the nadir and call it a day. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

Haha, yes the voice thing is a bit different no doubt about that. It is the default mac voice to speech program. The benefit being that I never need to do more than one take on a tutorial since it is just reading the text. My home office is shared with my two little girls, a four year old and a one year old and they would undoubtedly be squealing and laughing on each tutorial. The draw back is you have to listen to a robot like voice, but it may out-way the drawbacks for now.

I have now posted 12 images so far, the images missing are another day shot from the Sawtooths and resulting shots from the Tetons once Brandon gets back from the trip. Also I would be willing to take one of the above images and create a virtual tour from it should anyone be interested in what they look like in the virtual tour form. Just a reminder please post all requests and comments on this message board. Thanks, -Terry
