My sincere apology. I re-read your original post and it is clear that I misunderstood its meaning.

Followup to andrewluck's post for those in Colorado. Democrat Michael Bennet was appointed to his senate seat, replacing Ken Salazar who is now Interior Secretary. Senator Bennet has a campaign web page: http://bennetforcolorado.com/ It is likely that he will be challenged by Republican Aurora City Councilman Ryan Frazier. I had an opportunity to see Mr. Frazier in person last week and I am initially impressed with him. I can't find a campaign web page yet but here is a blog about him: http://slapstickpolitics.blogspot.com/2009/03/col...

Okay, so you have me confused now. What is your objective with this?

It's going to take months of therapy to get that visual out of my head, but your point is well taken. :~)

Hear, hear!! I am registered in Colorado as a republican because you have to be registered as one or the other to vote, but in my opinion the republicans are VERY BAD and the democrats are WORSE. It has been my opinion for a long time that I have had to choose between bad and worse for every elected position. I'm rapidly approaching 60 years old so I've been through a few election cycles in my day... barefooted... uphill...both ways.____Might I also suggest that we have a very powerful vote every day right here in our wallets - $$$. When you have them by the $, their hearts and minds will follow...or something to that effect. :~) Pump money into political orgs that represent your philosophy and boycott orgs and companies that oppose you.

On the subject of CNN's Susan Roesgen's... uh... reporting of the Tea Party. Here's what I sent to CNN:

"I was appalled with Susan Roesgen's supposed interview with the Tea Party protester, and her subasquent editorial comments about Fox News having organized the event. I this the way a reporter is supposed to report the news on CNN? She is a good example of why CNN is in last place in the ratings. I will, however, faithfully watch CNN for as long as it takes me to compile a list of your sponsors so that I may boycott them and encourage all I can reach on the internet to do the same."

IMHO is that we can do a great deal more voting with our wallets than we can at the ballot box. Anybody agree?

You are all witness to a first. My FIRST EVER comment posted to a blog that is. Thank you. Thank you. Applause is not necessary. :~)

Seriously though, I like all of these priciples. I think we should stress #8, particularly in light of the recent DHS report. I'm a little miffed at being called a right-wing extemeist because I don't agree with many government policies. I agree with MollieB55, although I am not convinced that our government does not understand the constitution as much as it chooses to ignore it.
