Sounds like a very good idea. Let's all join the local mosque, and vote for a bar to be installed....

And nobody can stop us.

Is this the 'Green' Labour Party that wanted to build a city that stretched from Liverpool to Newcastle (to settle all those immigrants).??

How 'Green', they must be.

It is highly unlikely that atmospheric nuclear testing can affect the climate. Just what component of a nuclear warhead do you think could be to blame? There is only about 5 kg or so of nuclear material involved in a standard nuclear device - how do you think that 5 kg of material can affect the climate?

Dust in the atmosphere? - I think volcanos do more damage. Their dust is carried higher and much more material is carried aloft.

And Dr Rajenda Pachauri, the esteemed head of the IPCC has just written a steamy novel about sex, a breast fetish, and masturbation.

This is the man who wants about $5 trillion from the Western World (just for starters), to fund his neferious schemes, and prop up corrupt third world governments.

I am all for these new anti-discrimination laws.

I mean - do you realise that airlines discriminate against people who cannot fly, when advertising for pilots? It is incredible that in this day and age they can get away with only recruiting form a cozy club of people who have flying licences - it is pure discrimination, nothing more nor less.

People of all abilities should be able to become pilots. And we need more recruited from among the physically and mentally disabled too - why should they be discriminated against, just because of their disability? I am sure that, like me, you would be much happier to know that the pilot whisking you to your holiday destination was disabled and had never flown before - it would be so much more, well, socially inclusive. You know Liberalism makes sense.

Yes, this was always going to be the Achilles Heel for the Euro - the fact that not all the players would play by the rules, and possibly inflate their own economies at the expense of the others. Greece, Spain and Ireland are all guilty of this, and it will be interesting to see what the other, more stable Euro nations do about it.

Incidentally, the UK would also have been in breach of Euro covenants, had it joined the Euro some years ago. Our economy is no better than Greece's, thanks to 'prudence' Brown. Our only 'saviour' is that in retaining the pound we can devalue the currency. I add quote marks here, because our devaluation WILL be painful (and we have more to go) as all imports (nearly everything we buy) will be more expensive. I reckon we need another 20% devaluation against the Euro to be competative - so forget your standard foreign holidays for a while.

As to the Euro crashing?? Well, I don't think so. The USA has greater external debts than Europe, and is no better as a stable currency. If institutions buy into yuans (China) instead of dollars, and the USA loses its Reserve Currency status, the dollar will fall like a stone. Investing in dollars might not be a good idea.

So, as an institutional investor - would you sell Euros to invest in potentially unstable US dollars?? Would you trust Far Eastern governments with your money? Would you trust the Chinese government with your money? Would you trust S America or any of Africa with your money? These are not a clear-cut decisions, so I think the Euro will remain stable for some time yet.

And this action is dangerous, causing near misses between military aircraft and commercial traffic over the eastern Aegean.

Or send a complaint a week to the letters column. Just think of the letters editor, sitting under a pile of 15,000 letters of complaint. It would certainly concentrate the minds of the editors.

Did the BBC forget that a true Brit always supports the underdog? It shows how much the BBC has lost touch with true British culture.

Its about time the BBC was closed down - it serves no educational, social or cultural purpose any more. Its a real shame - the BBC, established in 1927, the world's oldest broadcaster, and closed down in 2010. RIP BBC. Your historic legacy will be missed, but your concluding leadership will be forever despised.
