actually some of the suit pics you posted are not actually the anarkali designs but yes its a fact that anarkali suits are now changing with design styles. previously anarkalis were considered the very long salwar suits with gher patterns starting from upper waist (right below the bust). but now a days anarkali pattern is seeing new designs coming up from new creative brains of designers.

In the very last collage, the middle picture is a very good example of how the definition of anarkali suits is changing. now a days anarkali consist of designs which you can wear not alone in special wedding type occasion but on common functions/parties too.

Its a grt change you know and its molding the designs creativity to suit young butterflies (teenagers girls) more. let's see what comes in future :)

great! a similar kinda festival titled "marwar shopping festival" also comes every year in may. this year it has been dated around 22 may, 2010. its really great place to meet marwari community in mumbai (at Bombay Exhibition Center) and you also find a large rajasthani art, crafts, clothing, lifestyle ideas there as well as fun shopping. especially ladies who are curious for the bandhani sarees of rajasthan, should definitely give it a visit. may be you could find a lot of your interest. enjoy there!

great content rajni! i got a request. can you form a post around the list of plants which could keep themselves alive inside a closed room. i tried cultivating few greenery around my desk too but within 2 month they lost their existence. though i tried well by pouring proper amount of water, quality soil & some growth fostering medicines too but couldn't save them. may be my choice of plants were wrong and they were in need of some fresh air & freedom from my room. a little help will be appreciated. btw i loved the bamboo plant's pic in the post. it looks promising & i guess i should go with it.
