If only we had a, non-emotional, reliable source to determine the accuracy of this assertion, say, Kaye Fissinger.

With kids all over the country, including, SVVSD, below other countries in math and sciences, let alone civics, shiny new mini iPads (Less expensive Kindles weren't available?) will only mean we can brag that maybe our kids aren't learning, BUT at least it's with better technology than Europe, Asia, etc.
How many voters would have voted for the levy, knowing THIS?

Smokers= worse than Hitler or fracking. And no, I'm not just some typical Boulder County paranoic overhyping this.

Dems used FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) to scare Longmont voters into voting for the Fracking ban. Also, pitiful.
They'll also used FUD to scare voters to support the insanely disproportional taxes on recreational marijuana, which will prop up the black market and drug cartels.
Get ready for Teacher Union paid ads:
"We MUST raise taxes for education, because MORE money for education EQUALS better education."
A fallacy, as proven by DC schools, who spend more than anyone.

The link you've provided mentions fracking is allowed in 30 states and yet can only mention one case in PA that may be linked to fracking. If proven true, rest assured there are greedy trail lawyers/Brockavich wannabes, who will be quite willing to "send the oil and gas companies a message" (while pocketing 80% of any settlement).
I can think of few things in life that are risk-free. Should we ban car and plane travel because there are crashes? A plane could crash into a school. Maybe we can get an initiative on the ballot that planes can't crash within 1000 feet of a school, or, better yet, ban plane crashes in Longmont city limits.

And, Mother Jones is not proof. Hell, it's not even believable, most times.
" ... it is a slow poisoning. Who wants to volunteer for that study?"
If so, shouldn't there be widespread poisoning by people who work in fracking operations? Where's evidence of that?
