Cliff Kirkpatrick : Cliff: Recruiting update

I tend to agree with beaverteeth. I first moved here in the early 80s and so fell in love with the area and people that I became dumbfounded that the football program sucked. Mind you, I grew up near Nebraska and was forced to watch/listen to big red crap ALL the time on Omaha TV. I cheer wholeheartedly for UWPN (University of Whoever Plays Nebraska). Have you ever been anywhere near Lincoln? I would consider it an extreme punishment by the gods should I end up living there ever again. OSU played there once and came back, along with a beatdown, the revelation that it was the facilities stupid. OK, it has taken some time, and they may not be U of Nike standard but they are vastly improved. And I'll give that there's nothing else to do in Nebraska but I'll argue, people here can be just as nice and passionate as they are. So, I'll end with 'what's the next step' so the coaches can just add water to more kids and play at the top without the underlying fear that it could crumble every year?

creepy? nah. what's creepy is tyler is now a judge on american idol. say it ain't so!! an r rating would just be a magnet. i almost didn't play it. put the rating on and i would not have hesitated. a warning about the mens breasts would have been nice. ;)

Cliff, looking down the road, will the new money translate into upgrading Reser? Meaning the west side of course.

Cliff Kirkpatrick : Cliff: Blue field

I have an idea to get BS to change back to a green field. First get Oregon/Nike tapped into this technique. Heck, they could afford multiple colors. My Alma Mater has an indoor stadium with a field that is rolled up (five yard segments) to allow use for track, basketball, tennis, etc. Oregon could match their du jour uniform with the field. Sound crazy? Perhaps but I bet the NCAA would step in and mandate one color for all fields and BS would consequently lose its blue field.

Cliff Kirkpatrick : Cliff: Sunday night football notes

I agree with the above comment but my primary concern is avoiding injuries. It's one thing to get injured when the outcome of the game is still unknown but to get hurt when it serves no purpose is questionable coaching.
