Well, this article is a bit over the top. With both minsters the final straw was information which indicated that the material performance of their roles was no longer in the best interests of Canadians.

Wells seems a bit obsessed with making dubious connections. In any individual Prime Minister's time in office there will be so many incidents and decisions to be made that almost any trivial pattern can be found (Harper was once in a bad mood on a plane? Shocking!). It's like trying to find a new constellation - there are enough stars out there that you can connect the dots and draw any picture you want.

This type of study presents a number of issues. But one thing to consider is that an AVERAGE was measured - who's sitting at the upper crust is potentially of more interest, and more difficult to establish.
