Maher and Sharpton were exposed for the cynical critics that they are. When asked by Tapper what Arizona should do, Sharpton had no answer. When asked by Will what policies the federal government could impose to actually enforce the immigration laws already on the books, Sharpton had no answer. And when asked what states should do about immigration, Maher actually said, "I pass." They have no answers. When Republicans try to solve problems, they just call them racists. But they have no solutions of their own. That much was clear on today's show. Maher came off as what he is: a comedian. No more, no less. I doubt ABC will have him back. Certainly when Amanpour takes over, there's no way she'll lower herself to have him on. Thank goodness.

On every issue, the Republicans propose alternatives that cost less and do more, yet the Democrats (and their fawning media) repeat the refrain that the Republicans are just saying no and not proposing any viable alternatives. When will SOMEONE in the media call out Democrats who say this?

Still can't understand it? Let me spell it out to you.

1. If you're an entertainer, you want people to like you so they will see your movies and buy your records.
2. If you have a strong political opinion, then you're probably best if you express it in the most inclusive way possible.
3. If you have a strong political opinion and insult those who disagree with you, you are cutting off potential sales.

My comment about Sting is not about political disagreement. You have the right to disagree with anybody and call them stupid for having poorly thought-out views. My comment about Sting is about ENTERTAINERS!

Here's an apolitical argument that maybe you can get through your head.

Suppose Sting wants the Yankees to win the World Series. He could come out and say that he's always been a Yankees fan and hopes they win. Or he could take it a step further and say that Philly sucks and he hopes they go down in flames because everyone from Philly is an idiot. That would be stupid. That's basically what he's done here when he denigrated the people who did not vote for Obama and who oppose his government takeover of our entire economy.

It is just as stupid for people like Ted Nugent, also entertainers, to come out and speak ill of people who disagree with them. I was criticizing Sting from a marketing standpoint, not a political one. If you still can't understand the difference, again, I'm not sure what I can tell you. I can't walk you through it any slower.

A hypocrite is someone who tells people to do one thing and does another. It would be hypocritical of me IF I WERE AN ENTERTAINER to tell Sting not to denigrate people who disagree with his political beliefs, and then go on stage and do the exact same thing I told him not to do. Therein lies the difference.

Great, another singer I won't be able to listen to. It amazes me how stupid these entertainers are. It's one thing to come forth and say you support Obama. Excellent point by "cardiac": hate crime legislation, which our President supports 100%, is exactly legislating what is in someone's heart. If it were a bunch of white kids who beat to death that poor child, you can bet Obama would have said something about this earlier. Everything apparently has to be political and racial in today's "post-racial" Obamerica. It's sad.

They say "may" and "might" to cover their behinds (and won't name any names because, if they did, those organization could prove they didn't do it) knowing full well they sent them on their own. They changed the feature on the white house comment page because they were previously sending people e-mails if they had commented on the White House page. They think we're too stupid to add 2+2. Try this: go to www.barackobama.com (a site paid for by the DNC) and then go to www.whitehouse.gov. The backgrounds and fonts are identical. The only difference is the ubiquitous calls to donate to the DNC on the barackobama website. This administration has blurred the lines between "official business" and political campaigning like no other.

This is hilarious coming from a president who keeps saying that "if you like your insurance, you can keep it" despite the fact that study after study shows that dozens of millions of Americans will be kicked off of their insurance plan. Employers will shuffle you off onto the government option, reducing the demand for health insurance companies, and some of them will go out of business. That's a "fishy" claim proven false and Obama has no problem perpetuating it. Yet if you disagree with him, expect a knock on your door. If Bush would have tried anything like this, the Democrats would have called him a tyrant and called for his impeachment. Welcome to North Venezuela.
