It is amazing how the politicians refer to crime as if it relates only to the ordinary citizens. Corruption or fraud is the biggest crime against the population as it takes from the mouths of the poor and enriches the rich.
I understad that International protocol dictates that the President and the Prime minister should not give a speech at the same function.
Are children made with bricks and mortar? God determines who will be born and when. He is the creator. The mother is just rhe incubator. He knows every hair on our head. Let us celebrate the birth and give kudos to the doctors and nurses who facilitated the success of this miracle.

It is time we stop appointing Board members only because they are party supporters. It should be based on their competence and experience in the particular field. You cannot put square pegs in round holes eg Caribbean Airlines -check the number of mishaps since we appointed that Chairman.
Pnm supporters only want handouts? and what do UNC / Partnershp supporters want and get? millions of dollars in contracts and bobol? The money is from the same source ie taxpayers funds. It is unfair both sides of the coin. The main purpose of Government is helping those who are lease able to help themselves.Every country has poor citizens who are assisted by the State,even the mighty USA.
This is a good move by the PNM. The delegate system re selection of the hierarchy is outdated. It still does not mean that a maximum leader still cannot emerge.It is still useful wrt bringing forward the views of the constituents at party group level.Please keep the campaign clean. Previous political parties went that way before and the competition turned nasty..
three hundred thousand persons will be deprived if the highway isnt built? what about the hundred of thousands of citizens in the east-west corridor who are deprived because you all objected to the rapid rail and the citizens in Labrea and environment who have been deprived of jobs and business opportunities because you all objected to the aluminum smelter? Be objective! We are all T&T citizens and we pay taxes.
My understanding is that Mr. Kublalsingh is against passing the highway through the lagoon, thereby messing with the environment ,displacing those families and the additional cost to the State as a result instead of taking the alternate route. What is so wrong with that? If we take off our political blinkers we will see the value of his suggestions. We will pay a high environmental, financial and monetary price for for not heeding this advice.
