Big Peace : Do We Want Counterterror Managed by CAIR and the AP or by NYPD's Ray Kelly?

The residents of Manhattan were cheering passing police vehicles in the immediate wake of the attacks. I thought then that if the police had intercepted this plot and arrested the perpetrators, they would be vilified for their efforts. Shucks, I was 100% correct.

Breitbart.com : Actress Lucy Lawless climbs oil-drilling ship

How much oil was needed to produce the millions of DVDs her work product has generated? Maybe I would take her more seriously if, in this day of streaming, she would campaign to end DVD and CD production. Naturally, that would hit her and the powers that be in Hollywood right in the pocket -- and if its one thing hollywood liberals love, is the generation of (their own) personal wealth. In the end, just another idiot celebrity hypocrite.

Big Hollywood : 'Tosh.0' Review: Repulsive, Offensive, Politically Incorrect and Undeniably Hilarious

"2) I think it's pointless to try and divine any politics out of this show. I'll put it this way: anyone who tries is way too into politics and should be made fun of." Observation of a partisan bent is pointless, but ridicule is championed. The Gold Standard of critical thinking.

politically incorrect, yet liberal. If you notice his show's placement, it seems that the liberal powers that be at Comedy Central wish to dilute the young audience that might otherwise watch Beck (in the past), O'Reilly and Hannity. Just an observation. It IS a funny show.

Big Hollywood : Something Gays & Muslims Need Never Fear: CBS, Grammys Mock Catholic Church

Present day entertainers (many, anyway)- Absolute morons spewing hateful invective at completely safe targets while rejoicing in the commemoration of their self-perceived bravery. Celebrate Whitney, forgive all of her worst life choices, but despise Tebow for his. I wouldn't bet that Tebow's lifestyle will lead him to end his days in a hotel bathtub, or steer anyone else down such a path, yet he is reviled by this bunch. Its become an admirable character trait.

Big Hollywood : 'Growing Pains' at CPAC: Cameron Decries a Nation 'Off Track'

As sad as it is to admit -- the entertainment industry holds tremendous sway in the attitudes of its consumers. This country DESPERATELY needs alternatives to the garbage our liberal brethren shovel out in alarmingly disintegrating quality. It would be great if Cameron and those like him would band together to produce this for us en masse. Digital filmmaking may save us yet -- you may not see it in a theater, but, unfortunately for Hollywood powers that be, we will be truly choosing what we wish to entertain us at all times. Down they go.

Big Hollywood : 'Rampart' Review: Harrelson Revitalizes Dirty Cop Genre

That is damned funny. There isn't enough conflict in police work or military action to produce films that interest people unless corrupt, brutal or idiot characters in uniform are on display. Your understanding of the military and police work appears to have its primary foundation in, well, films and tv shows about the military and police work. If introducing criminals, brutes and idiots is just a matter of introducing conflict in these films, tell me, what film about, say, journalism (oh so plenty) depicts a left-wing, died in the wool liberal journo who willfully lies in his reporting to attack his ideological foes? Or how about an anti-religious serial killer? Maybe a brutal rapist who is as left as they come and in public champions the feminist cause? The militant atheist child abuser? The Democratic Senator who murders/accepts bribes/hates the poor/lives in mansions/flies privately while cocktailing? No Grabuto, there is an agenda in art. And it is a leftist agenda. The left despises the military and police and it is evident in the art emanating from it. The left does, however, love journalists, Democratic Senators, atheists, the antireligious and feminists. If the list i rolled out above sounds ridiculous to you, the left has done its job. Congrats.

Having someone toss the insult (able to handle) at me after utilizing 'Stop or my Mom Will Shoot!' to bolster their argument is priceless. Despite not having scene for scene recollection for most of those you've cited, I'd wager you would find evidence of my assertion: unceasing in their efforts to show them as mindless thugs or evil maniacs on power trips. Well, maybe you wouldn't notice. I havent watched Blue Bloods, but i bet a relative that their MUST be an exhibition of police corruption almost immediately. And there was, so I was told. Yup. Must be my imagination. I almost forgot, the primary perpetrator in Speed was a former cop. Same difference. Again, must be my imagination.

Aside from Fargo, can anyone tell me a cop movie made in the last 40 years in which the cops DONT have something to do with the primary crime of the plot or are NOT explicitly shown to be involved in criminality peripheral to the plot? Cops and the military are despised by those engaged in the creative arts and the artists are unceasing in their efforts to show them as mindless thugs or evil maniacs on power trips.
You are not an environmentalist if you own more than one residence. You are not an environmentalist if the one residence you do own has square footage equal to more than 1000 times the number of people who share it. You are not an environmentalist if you are engaged in the performing arts and allow your performances to be recorded onto plastic, encased in plastic, wrapped in plastic and then transported globally to be sold to the masses. (See file share) You are not an environmentalist if you fly in private aircraft. You are not an environmentalist if you "collect cars." You are not an environmentalist if you live in NYC but regularly use private rather than public transport.
I'm still waiting for Petty to put his money where his mouth is. Since the conservative beliefs of Michelle Bachman are so repugnant to him that he sent a cease and desist letter to her in regard to her campaign using one of his songs, well then he should offer to buy back any Tom Petty merchandise which were bought with the money of repugnant conservatives. To all the leftist entertainers out there -- if you are going to give a big FU to conservatives -- let your conservative fans know that on your album covers and on your concert tickets.
She is playing to the crowd. Expressing vehemently anti-Catholic views in public is a status builder within the artist community. These people are so simple, they believe that what defines bigotry as wrong is the identity of the perpetrator and the target. A Catholic could never be a target of bigotry in their eyes. Perpetrator, hell yeah, target, never.
