The federal corporate tax rate has been declining fairly steadily since 2001. During the same period, income inequality has steadily increased with incomes growing rapidly for a very few and stagnating for everyone else. Whatever benefits may have come from lower tax rates have gone mainly to CEOs and their small circle of friends and not to employees in general. The Montreal Economic Institute is full of something and it isn't the milk of human kindness.

Don't forget how it started. If the government had given the MPCC more cooperation so they could investigate the specific charges they were concerned with, then this parliamentary committee might never have been struck and the whole issue might not have gotten nearly so much attention. But the government was so heavy handed with the MPCC that it got everyone wondering what they were hiding.

I see quotes from a lot of anonymous "counter terrorism officials" and "analysts" and not many sources who will allow their names to be attached to their warnings. It reminds me of 2002.

Shorter Bob Rae: Let's be very clear about the fact that the Conservatives have no specific policy on Afghanistan that they're willing to share with anyone. Liberals, on the other hand, have no specific policy regarding Afghanistan that we're willing to share with anyone.

PS: I wonder how it decides which of the various things I'm logged into to use. In this case it used the intensedebate login. Okay.

I believe that what Horsley is doing qualifies as sedition and is a criminal offence.
