According to Forbes, Beyonce raked in 27 million in 2008. That doesn't factor in her husband's earnings. For the old folks, that would be Jay-Z, who's also similarly loaded. I can appreciate anonymous internet posters inclination to hold their nose take a 2 million dollar payday, but Beyonce is hardly hurting for cash. Being that she probably spends 2 million on hair relaxant alone, I can only conclude that she does specifically endorse Qaddafi's ideology.

I think you're right about the age thing, I feel the exact same way, even though I was no superfan of hers. You just assume these people will be around as long as you are.

I'm against this regulation mainly because I don't trust to Government to actually help even if their intended goal is worthwhile. Why not petition tv makers to include some type of volume-leveling technology instead?

Yeah, but you went to a PRIVATE catholic school, and were subjected to bias. The leftist bias dominates all the public schools and probably to a far greater degree. You seem to imply that because it happened to you, both sides of the political divide are equally as guilty.

"Even in the Muslim religion, all of Christs fundamental teachings are found... "

Spoken like someone who's never read the Bible. I'm sure you'll disagree, but Christ's Fundamental teachings are that he is God, and that he is the way of salvation. This is heresy to the Muslim.

I wonder if most of the people reacting on the board actually clicked on the link and read the description of the "Bush jab." If it is a jab at Bush, it's not blatant. The lady could have pointed to that picture no matter who was president. It sounds like she's basically saying it's not my job. If I want to read a political motivation into the scene, I could just as easily come away with a jab at government bureaucracy, which is conservative friendly.

I understand the sensitivity given the constant drumbeat of Bush bashing for the last 8 years, but it sounds like a very small problem to avoid a movie you would otherwise want to go see.

Also, if there is a question about the intent of this scene, shouldn't the overall context inform our interpretation?

Sandra Bullock seems pretty apolitical career wise, and she costars with Tim McGraw. It's not like this is an Oliver Stone production starring Sean Penn as a world weary journalist who saves a young homeless homosexual (Ashton Kutcher) from a repressive religious society. (Don't worry, that one's coming to a theater near you soon!)
