Thanks for the reminder Paul! I've updated my posting with my findings. You don't ever need to tag off if you have an autoloaded monthly pass on your clipper card. You just need to double tag before boarding the train.

Helen, we did not have a washer and dryer in our apartment (we've since moved out of the city). We also struggled with carrying the wash to the laundromat. Luckily we found a neighborhood lady who cleaned our house once a week and also did laundry for us.

Hi Bob, thanks for reading! Our son slept in his porta-crib and then toddler bed next to our bed until he was almost 3. Then his brother came along so we finally moved to a two bedroom.

If you have just have one kid, you can definitely keep them in a toddler bed next to your bed until they are around four. However after that you should consider a two bedroom apartment.

I also suspect you could do some sort of trundle bed arrangement to free up floor space if you keep your kid in your room.

Thanks for the info Rob! I've updated my notes to include something I forgot to include first time around - none of this makes me any money, so I want the most flexibility I can get for the least amount of money. Ideally, that's under $10/mo. for hosting. $20/mo is more than my hobbyist noodling around is worth to me.
