I think first and foremost Global Warming is a political science, not a true science. The planet goes through cycles over the years, like when Antarctica was mapped by ground penetrating radar they found that an ancient map (i forget what culture made it) was completely accurate. The effect we as humans with our industry have had on this cycle is minimal at best, we need to remember there are pockets of methane under the ocean floor that are constantly leaking into the air. For those who don't know methane is also a green house gas and is roughly 10X worse than CO2 and are we doing anything to prevent this NATURAL occurrence NO because there is nothing to do. Now I'm not saying that these higher standards to reduce emissions are a bad thing I mean we do breath the air and it would be a good idea for us to keep it clean, but don't tax us for how much we drive, or how much our cows fart that's rediculous.

That is sadly accurate, he kept saying "CHANGE" but all we got are the same policies "pump trillions into the hands of the people who caused this problem in the first place"

I will say this I'm glad he made a good decision, but so far as I've seen that his only good one. The whole idea of pumping trillions into wall street and the big banks is a terrible idea "lets give trillions to the people who caused this problem in the first place they seem to be good with money" yeah making it disappear.

The states do have standing militas they are the National Guard and the State Guards, the main differenece being the National Guard is a branch of the federal military and the State Guards fall solely under the command of the Governor of that particular state.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Please read if you can in english if that is still be taught in our high schools where it says that the "right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms" not the right of the militia, nor that of the government military, but that of the people. You have to remember that this was written after a long and grueling war where regular civilians with their own rifles and pistols aided significantly in the war being won. So the writers of the Bill of Rights knew that it was important for the people to have their own weapons for, if nothing else, to insure that the government doesn't become tyrannical like the British had. Also consider this: in Australia the government, being fed up with gun violence, banned all fire arms; the following weeks and months showed that gun violence increased drastically. Why? Because the law abiding citizens turned in their weapons but the law breakers didn't and it just made it easier for them to rob and murder because they had the weapons and the general population did not. Also remember when a tyrant takes over the first thing they do is remove the right of the people to own guns because if the people cannot defend themselves it is easy to make them do whatever you want because they can't revolt.

Did people honestly believe that Obama was going to be able to wave a magic wand and end the Iraq war? We elected a political child to fight and end a war over a seasoned war veteran and POW. One thing I believe people forgot about McCain is that while in prison he was offered a chance to leave because his father was an Admiral, and his grandfather a retired Admiral, but he refused and stayed; that shows a hell of a lot more character than our new president has yet to show.
