Just like the Nano has its niche, so will the iPad but it is obviously not as a business productivity tool. Neither is the Kindle for that matter but at least the iPad is a multifunction device. I predict the next Generation Kindle will look and feel "a lot" like an iPad. In fact, it seems Amazon just purchased Touchco to that end.

On another note, I don't have an iPhone but I do have an iPod touch which I am very happy with and therefore have no incentive to go either iPad or Kindle. So... as a consumer, I'm going to wait and see what happens as Apple and Amazon battle this out. In the end, I'll go with the best "multifunction" device on the market... After all, you can get Amazon eBooks from either company and that is only a small portion of what I would want the device for anyway.
