Why would the mayor not be held to some sort of standard when traveling? He, and all City employees, ought to be held to the standard perdiem rates when traveling. And, what benefit to the taxpayers of this fair city gain with Mary Holley attending any conference.

I say make the mayor payback the excess charges. Then, he ought to consider stepping down... or perhaps we'll just remove him from office...

That 16th storm is going to be a harsh one...

Many years ago (before THE GUARDIAN but after TOP GUN), I wrote a screenplay titled STORM WARRIORS. A key element of the plot was the use of topedos for smuggling and, in the screenplay, to hold a kidnapped person. When the good folks at MOPIC TV read the play they told me I'd over-reached and the scenario was implausible. Guess I was ahead of the times...

I'm always appreciative of such biting insight coming from someone hiding deep inside a closet.
