Dude, just move out here to Colorado. Go to a class, file the paperwork with your local sherrifs office and pay a small fee. In just a few short weeks, you will have your concealed carry permit and be just like the rest of us out here. I carry whenever and wherever I can. I recommend all able bodied Americans that are competent and responsible should carry firearms. If there would have been somone with a concealed carry firearm in that Binghamton building I can damn near guarantee there wouldnt have been 13 dead!

I run a family owned pawnshop here in Colorado Springs, CO. There are over 30 pawnshops in our city of 500k people. If we could only charge $0.30 monthy for a $10 loan we would be out of business in just a few short months. I understand the law is intended to hurt the payday lenders that charge 300% a year. We have collateral backed loans. Our interest rates are approx 120% a year or 10% a month. This is pretty fair considering there are no other alteratives for the poor and middle class once we are gone. Please vist www.savemypawnshop.com and sign the petition. I printed out some for our customers and have filled one full page before the lunch rush this morning. This could be the end if we dont act. I have called both of my congressmen this morning and emailed Durbin in Ill. If you like buying from pawnshops or have ever needed $20 to fill a perscription between paychecks, please help us out!

I didnt say this was a great solution to the problem. I know it has failed in other countrys. What I was getting at is that we need a new way to deal withthis problem. If we removed the drugdealers, users and trafficersalong with deporting the illegal aliens from our prisons we would have plenty of room for theworse criminals. I am not advocating drug use. I agree that many of the prison population belong right where they are. Hell just look a the guy who killed the cops in Oakland. All I am saying is that locking them up is costing us more than dealing with them through alterative methods. The SalvationArmy has a good program here in Colorado Springs to deal with male addicts. Many churchesrun similar programs.Maybewe take the nonviolentwho are willing to conform and run them through private programs. If they fail to meet the requirements then we can lock them back up.

I found a graph from the NYT from last year. Check it out.

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2008/04/22/us/...

Over 50% of the prisoners in the Federal Pen are drug related.

We have to solve this problem first. Locking up these people is costing us more than it is worth. I dont have a great solution to this problem but we have to think about this more serously. Legalization and regulation would provide revenue for the government to deal with rehabilitation of users. Prices would come down and property crimes would follow. With 50% less prisoners there wouldnt be overcrouding. Regulation would be the key. The logistics of it would be overwhelming at first. Just food for thought. Nobody wants a Crack Mart in their local strip mall but it beats paying to feed them and put a roof over their head.

To keep the government from knowing you have, you needto buywith cash from someone you trust. Most coin dealersand pawn shops are trustworthy and dont keep record of sales under a certain dollar value.I buya little at a time from coin shops, pawnshops and ebay(ifI dont get outbid). Just remember any withdrawls from your bank of 10k or more require a CTR form that your bank fills out and gives to the government. If your banker is suspicious of your withdrawl he can still fill one out regardless of dollar amount. My combined family income is approx 60ka year. I never have to worry about that. If you are looking for good reputable places to buy from, I have used NWT Mint, KITCO and APMEX. They are all very reasonable. None are too quick to ship product but it does come. Not sure about their reporting standards. I do know NWT offers a way to put American Gold Eagles into your IRA. Pretty sure that requries your brokers help. I have a heavy safe and lots of ammo. I dont mind storing my chump change at the house. If you are uncomfortable with storing it yourself maybe check out Glenns buddies at Gold Line. There prices arent too much higher than anywhere else. One last note most investment brokers I have dealt with say no more than 25% in metals. I try to say around 30%. You know your money better than anyone else ever will. Use your best judgement and be patient.

I am still concerned about the market long term. Now is the perfect time to buy silver. It is an affordable alternative to gold. Granted the silver market swings at a higher percentage in ups and downs. If this recession turns into a depression, in theory the metals should stave off inflation. If you buy for the the long haul you will be fine. Dont expect huge gains. Use them as a safety net not a cash cow.

I would like to see the formation of a National Grand Jury consisting of 50 Jurors with 50 alternates (2 from each state). We The People then truely become the 4th branch of the Government. Supreme court justice Scalia has already pave the way for us.....

To examine all aspects of the federal government by initiating its own investigations.

To serve as ombudsmen for the citizens of the country in respect to constitutional rights. and privileges established under the organic documents of the United States of America, as properly amended from time to time.

To conduct criminal investigations of members of the federal government, and, if the evidence is sufficient, issue criminal indictments

Now how do we get this started?

I met a nice man and his wife in my local Walmart this morning. He told me about this thing called the National Grand Jury. People have been complaining about corruption in government long before we all started blogging on this website. I ask that you please check out the link below. Find good qualified 912'ers in your state and ask them to apply. This seems to be our best bet to find a non violent solution to our problems

You can track every vote by your local House Rep and both Senators by using this link. I get emails every 7-10 days showing how they vote from my state. It is very informative.
