I'm in Montana. There are plenty of us here, too, that would love to see the values of our once-free capitalist, representive republic succeed. But it's becoming all too clear that our Governor won't take a stand. We're accepting the federal "stimulus" money and already spending it on road projects with designs straight from France, and Portland OR. The progressive movement in Montana is pushing true Montanans over the edge, and I'll bet a citizen uprising will be evident in the mid-term election cycle. Congratulations Governor Perry. I wish our Governor had the same sense of priority.
KUMBAYA...Maybe they should all put flowers in their hair and drop acid too. Look, war has ravaged the world since people inhabited it. We, as "people" will never agree with everyone else, and some cultures fight to the death to instill their beliefs on others. It's no wonder other Arab leaders are worried. The U.S. sticks its neck out, not for just oil, but because people everywhere in the world deserve to be free. To be ruled by evil dictators or opressive rulers is not our way of life. So, we will fight to the death to instill that belief upon others. Get it now? We can't leave Iraqis hang out to dry. The country would become anarchist in a matter of weeks. Their military needs world-class training, and their political system is new. Let's help them, not berate them.
I live in Montana now, but lived in Minnesota in the late 80's. U' betcha! A great state to be FROM. Land of (now)50,000 taxes--though I still like the Twins.
Until all the sheep in this country get educated and stop voting for them...
Sure do. I'll 3rd(tweet) that comment--Hypocrisy (500 folks for the G20 summit???) Is that size entourage really necessary? And he tells us "the days of maxing out your credit cards are over!" Blatent hypocrisy. Where's the 4th column on this? Answer: part of the entourage!
Gang bangers and criminals don't follow laws. Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens and pilots will do nothing to deter random acts of violence, as law-abiding citizens don't commit random acts of violence. But, a pilot with a gun can sure deter a would-be terrorist, or any other would-be threat occuring on the plane. Simple enough?
